STILES STILINSKI CANON DIVERGENCIES:

during season 3a, upon learning about druids and their abilities and responsibilities, stiles takes an interest and he trains under deaton to act as the emissary of scott's pack. he continues to go to him for advice as he learns to take on those abilities.

after being possessed by the nogitsune, stiles deals with the remaining darkness inside of him for the rest of his life. as a result, this affects the balance in him that he must maintain as a druid, but he's able to do so with hard work.

stiles experiences a plethora of side effects post possession, including (but not limited to) insomnia, a weaker immune system, ptsd, and increased irritability. he also has permanent dark circles under his eyes and is quite pale.

he does NOT join the fbi, fuck that. instead, he uses his university's extensive library and resources to learn more about folklore and herbology and other things needed to become a druid. he majors in computer science and minors in philosophy and psychology (to assist with his duties as an emissary) and becomes a cybersecurity trainer.

he mostly works from home, making him accessible to the mccall pack at a moment's notice. his role in the pack is as an advisor (obviously) but not in a counseling way. he is the main planner of the pack and spends a lot of time doing research and bettering his mind to keep them all safe.

name: born finlay mclean, goes by finlay abernathy from the age of two. nicknames: finny, finn (both by his adoptive mother), the knight of the comet date of birth: july 17th 1293 in magnus, fiáin, on the continent of cosanta. gender identity: cisgender male, uses he/him pronouns. sexual identity: bisexual biromantic. family: ewan mclean (father, deceased), ceana mclean (mother, deceased), catriona abernathy (adoptive mother).

finlay was born in the capitol of fiáin, magnus, to the blacksmith ewan and his wife, ceana. he did not get to spend much time with them after their smith shop caught fire with his mother and father inside when he was just four years old. the only reason finlay didn't succumb to the flames was because he was close to the exit, therefore he could escape.

he had a turn of luck when he happened to beg for food from the right woman — the countess catriona abernathy, who'd just been widowed before she could ever have children with her husband. she was just reclusive enough and he was just young enough that, after adopting finlay, she was able to pass him off as her own.

as a son of nobility, finlay was made a page when he turned seven. while most were usually taken away from the care of their families and kept apart, due to catriona's title, lack of a husband, and general closeness with the queen of fiáin, they were still able to keep in contact. the contact lessened as he became a squire, becoming cut off altogether by the time he was fifteen. he trained under ser marshall, who he looked up to highly, and who became a father figure to him.

finlay becomes a knight at the age of 21. his title, the knight of the comet, was given due to a comet that flew through the sky the night before he was knighted. he was good at jousting, but better at swordplay and sport.

BELLA SWAN CANON DIVERGENCIES.

twilight:

while bella is intrigued by edward, she is not so trusting of him right off the bat and i add that it takes a little longer for them to get to know each other (by her decision, especially since he was so cold towards her off the bat).

she has undiagnosed depression. she just moved to a place that is the opposite of what she is used to and is getting to know a new person while living with them at the same time.

new moon:

her depression worsens post break up AND CHARLIE MAKES HER SEE A THERAPIST AFTER SHE EXPRESSES SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. she is diagnosed with depression but does not take any medications for it.

she is incredibly firm with jacob about her lack of romantic interest in him. since he doesn't respect it lmao their whole relationship in eclipse is different.

after she finds edward in italy, they lay some serious ground rules and boundaries for their relationship moving forward. bella deserves better and she knows it!

eclipse:

jacob and bella only see each other again after the werewolves and vampires near forks join together to defeat victoria and her army of newborns. she once again has to tell him she is not interested romantically.

bella and edward do NOT get engaged here. they do discuss a potential future together though which is what jacob hears that makes him want to fight.

SHE DOES NOT KISS JACOB TO MANIPULATE HIM INTO NOT FIGHTING!!!! she does however tell him that he can't force her to change how she feels and that he's being really shitty by threatening to basically kill himself bc she won't be with him and love him. blah blah blah.

breaking dawn:

take the plot of breaking dawn and move it past high school graduation to her senior year of college. she has been moving with the cullens and doing life with edward to see if it would work before committing uh. eternally by getting fangs in her neck.

they do get married. when she is 20. then the whole pregnancy plotline happens where she gets turned because she is almost dead lmao.

renesmee... i will need to do some serious plotting before i write with anyone who writes her based on the fact of uhhhh i think bella would have some SERIOUS issues at first because on one hand she loves her daughter but on the other hand she fucking DIED giving birth to her and had the most traumatic one month long pregnancy ever. also on the topic of renesmee, i refuse to write anything having to do with imprinting. period.

she was born as sudhar in 1280 to her parents. she was the oldest of six.

she was turned after she ran away from her husband at the age of 25. she was infertile, therefore not of much use to him.

eve found her first, and offered her a chance to escape her life. sudhar agreed. she was turned into a vampire in 1305 and began to travel with eve and her lover, rebekah, who took their new daughter lilith under their wing.

about one hundred years after turning, lilith discovered she had an ability that seemed quite unprecedented. she was able to project pain onto others, making a mere moment feel like a lifetime of excruciating pain. she didn't use it often and still doesn't, but eve and rebekah made it abundantly clear that it was a highly desired power.

in the early 1700s, lilith was locked away by her parents in the catacombs in paris. she was so well hidden that she was never found.

she didn't emerge until 2015. the world was entirely different and overwhelming, and her mothers were dead. she needed to fend for herself.

she's quite naive when she first emerges, though she continues to act that way as a safety mechanism the longer she's out.

she remains in paris for a long time, though she starts to travel to other large cities. she has not turned anyone yet, but she may eventually do so.

oldest of two in his family. his sister, isabelle, is 18 months younger than him.

his mother, ashley, died in a car accident when he was 16 years old. as a result of this, he develops severe depression that he leaves untreated for a long time.

he is drafted first overall in 2016 by the minnesota twins directly out of high school. he spent most of his time in high school playing on national u18 teams and got the attention of many mlb teams. he is incredibly thrilled to be playing for the team he grew up watching.

gets rookie of the year in the 2016-2017 season.

he's charismatic, almost too charismatic for his own good. this is a mask for his severe depression, which is debilitating.

when he's 23, he enters therapy and gets an official diagnosis.
