Two weeks ago I taught a class called Ethicsware at @sfpc_nyc, on thinking of technology outside of frameworks of labor and servitude, and instead thinking of effort — forms of effortful software that can manifest as methods for care and self-examination. Software from me to me, not as a bot or an Other, but like a letter to myself in the future. I’m still thinking and feeling the sense of shared curiosity and care created by everyone.
