“Blurr,” Prowl says in acknowledgement.
-Award winning smile.- The one and only. -Blurr has no idea who the other mech is however. He just assumes it’s another fan of his.-
Prowl’s optics narrow. Blurr’s reaction seems… odd, to say the least, considering the mech doesn’t appear to recognize him, and he immediately suspects the tears.
“When are you from, Blurr?”
*This mech gets right to the point!* When am I from? Oh! The war just started from where I came. Autobots and Decepticons still searching for recruits and all that. But now, I guess I’m in the future, more or less. War’s over I heard.
Prowl makes a vague noise of acknowledgement, hiding his flash of disappointment. It would have been useful to have someone he trusted on Cybertron, someone able to at least try to keep the NAILs and Decepticons in line—especially considering that he had no idea what the current state of affairs was on the planet. This version of Blurr would be almost entirely useless for that purpose.
Still, he should make certain the mech was, at the least, safe. “I assume you’re on Cybertron?”
Yes I’m here on Cybertron. Maccadam’s to be precise. From what Starscream said, I take it you’re on the Lost Light?
"I am," Prowl answered, then continued, "A significant number of mechs who'd previously been on Cybertron prior to the tears appearing have been relocated here."

“Yes, Rewind’s infected, too. But not Eject, though he’s had contact with Prime, too.” Ratchet rubbed the bridge of his nasal. “We’re doing our best. I’ve got Wheeljack, Brainstorm, and Atomizer helping me. We don’t know yet if the virus itself is fatal because no one’s actually died because of the virusyet, but I’m going to assume it can be if it causes enough damage to the meta processors.”
He paused slightly. “Atomizer suggested something that apparently happened in the alternate timeline he came from, and it could buy some time, for Magnus and ourselves.” He went on to explain what Atomizer had told them about the mass displacement gun and the tentative plans to use it to deal with the virus in Ultra Magnus, since he’s the least worst off of those confirmed infected.
Prowl exvented slowly. What Ratchet had to say about the virus and its progression was, for the most part, simply confirmation of what he’d feared. What was actually news was Ratchet’s lack of information on the virus. While he hadn’t assumed that they were close to a cure, the medic didn’t seem to even know the virus’ full effects, and that was worrying.
Given Magnus’ current condition, it was extremely worrying.
Prowl didn’t have time to be worried, and he forced himself to brush aside his concern for Magnus. He didn’t know where the virus had come from, since presumably it had been designed—viruses that acted like this one seldom showed up naturally, and in the wake of Pharma’s recent plague, it seemed less than prudent to assume there wasn’t anyone behind it. If that was the case, if the virus was deliberate, he didn’t know for what purpose it had been spread. He didn’t even know how to begin to look, unless the mirror Wheeljack decided to be talkative.
And, in the event that Ratchet was unable to develop a cure until it was too late, there would be a logistic mess to deal with—at the very least. Not to mention that he still had no idea what to expect if the virus had been planned, if there was any sort of followup to come. His jaw clenched for a moment. He hated situations like this. He felt blind, impotent. He had no idea what to expect, let alone how to prevent it.
And Atomizer’s plan… It seemed outlandish, to say the least. Still, if there was the potential that it would help, he could hardly dismiss it. “When did you intend to try this, Ratchet?”
“As soon as possible,” Ratchet replied quietly. “Before his condition becomes too unstable to risk it.”
"Who are you planning to send? Are you certain this won't simply infect them?" While this could potentially be an extremely successful venture and provide the necessary information Ratchet needed to develop a cure, it could also go terribly wrong. Without knowing enough about the virus and its origin, it could be an enormous mistake to deliberately send mechs into contact with the virus. Magnus was important, to both him and the Lost Light as a whole, but depending on the mechs Ratchet planned to send, Prowl couldn't ignore that the risk might not be worth it. To say the least, he was wary of the plan.

Prowl's optics narrow. Blurr's reaction seems... odd, to say the least, considering the mech doesn't appear to recognize him, and he immediately suspects the tears.
"When are you from, Blurr?"
Ratchet vented heavily. “Bluntly, he’s started hallucinating, and it’s progressed to the point where he’s physically reacting to them. Judging from the latest feed from his room…I’m not optimistic that he’ll immediately recognize anyone who goes in there right now.”
Prowl exvented again, rubbing a thumb and forefinger over his optics. He hadn’t trusted the foreign mechs from the beginning, but it hadn’t been his decision; still, now more than ever, he wished he’d been able to convince someone not to let them board without extensive examination. This could have been prevented. But it was too late for that. Prime was dead, and Magnus was infected, and it was too late to change any of that.
He felt the crushing weight of the immutable future bearing down on him inexorably, just as it had during the war each time a situation was out of his hands, beyond his control. This could have been prevented. Prime. The mirror Starscream. Magnus. Potentially Red Alert. Who else?
“Rewind’s infected, too.” It wasn’t a question, just a simple statement of fact, and he wasn’t looking for confirmation from Ratchet. With the diligence with which he’d been monitoring the security feeds, it’d have been impossible for him to miss that there was something wrong with cassette, and given the circumstances, the only real possibility was infection. “I assume you’ve started to work on developing a cure? What do you know about its progression—is it fatal?” It was a thin shred of hope, that the virus wasn’t fatal, but he couldn’t help but cling to it.

Ratchet was waiting when Prowl arrived, expression grim. As soon as Prowl entered the medbay, Ratchet waved for Prowl to follow him into his office. “Have a seat please,” he said quietly, sitting down himself.
“You’ve probably already figured out what’s happening.”
Prowl followed Ratchet into his office and sat as directed, his jaw clenching at Ratchet’s quiet tone. If he’d been lacking confirmation before… Well. This would have been all he needed. “Yes,” he answered tersely, then paused, exventing. “How bad is he?” he asked, fixing Ratchet with a hard stare. The medic knew him well enough to know he wouldn’t want to hear anything but the cold truth.

Prowl made his way to the medbay as quickly as he could. He’d hoped he’d find Magnus lucid, that the irritability he’d been met with the last time he’d talked to his partner was just frustration at being confined, but his hopes had dwindled. With what Ratchet had said… Prowl was forced to assume that, at the very least, Magnus was beginning to show definite symptoms. He found he didn’t know what to think about the situation, and was saved from his uncertainty by his arrival outside the medbay door and, wanting to know the truth, whether or not it confirmed his fears, he immediately sought out Ratchet.

prowlsaysnofunallowed replied to your post: Ratchet, do you have a moment?
I intend to stop by to visit Magnus, assuming the medbay isn’t busy. Is it?
No, it’s not busy at the moment. But…we need to talk when you get here.
I'm on my way. *highly suspicious, but he'll wait to find out for certain*

"Blurr," Prowl says in acknowledgement.
Ratchet muttered a curse, ignoring Starscream’s growls for the moment. “Great.” He secured Starscream to the gurney, glancing at Prowl. “Anything else I should know?”
Red Alert is still a little shocked. He was possibly infected. Pit, he was probably was infected! Did they even have a cure yet? Were they ever going to? How soon would the symptoms start so he would know? He was already working himself up into a manic state, the way his processor was rushing through all these uncertainties. Still, he had the mind to stay back from Ratchet and Prowl as he finally spoke. “I assume I’m going into isolation now? How long until the symptoms start if I am infected?”
Starscream lies there on the gurney, not knowing what any of them were really talking about but manages to hear about how long… “..long time….” The flier once again begins to shift restlessly; the cuffs are limiting his movement with his arms and being strapped down doesn’t help; trying to break out of them by trying to separate them but no use. The flier isn’t too thrilled to being tied down.
His optics brighten as a strained whine emits from his vocalizer; sounding as if in pain. As another memory washes over him, he tries to get out from the grasp of the straps; being once again reminded of the time he was captured and tortured from the Autobots of his universe. Snarling, “Let me go!” After a few moments, Starscream settles down again with a sad expression, staring off into nowhere; optics fogging in the process.
Prowl nods in Starscream's direction in response to Ratchet. "I think should be obvious how far the virus has progressed with him. Other than that, no." Really, he should have been monitoring the mech as diligently as he'd monitored Prime, but Prime had presented the more immediate threat.
He glances over Starscream as the mech begins to struggle, but as it's obvious he won't be able to escape, his gaze is assessing but disinterested. He's tormented by some hallucination, but what it is specifically, Prowl can't be bothered to care. If the mech deactivates, it will be no huge loss, in his opinion.
To Red Alert, he says, "I don't know when Prime was infected, but once his symptoms began showing up, the progression was slow." After all, Prime's symptoms had been displaying nearly since his arrival on the Lost Light, and it had taken until now to reach a breaking point.
prowlsaysnofunallowed replied to your post: Magnus? How are you doing?
*pauses, slightly suspicious and hoping he’s wrong* …Are you sure? I’m only doing paperwork right now; you aren’t a distraction. *decides not to mention that it’s much easier to focus if he doesn’t have to wonder if Magnus has been infected*
*Ultra Magnus isn’t sure how to reply. The auditory hallucinations have only been getting worse, and shadows started taking form in the corners of his visual field, not to mention the nightmares—*
I’m sorry to cut you off, but I’m preoccupied at the moment, Prowl. Rodimus slacking off again—leaving more work for me.
*He isn’t happy to lie to his partner, but what could he say? He had to get this under control.
Or finally contact Ratchet.*
Well, the last thing Prowl wanted to do was to impede Magnus while he was busy with work. And really, it wasn't entirely surprising that Rodimus was neglecting his work, so it was understandable if Magnus was accumulating a significant backlog. Still, something seemed wrong...
"I'll leave you to it, then, but if you take a break, let me know and I'll stop by. I needed to visit to talk to Ratchet in any case." He didn't, not really--he had no need to contact Ratchet about anything that couldn't be taken care of via comms or reports--but it was a convenient excuse to visit the medbay. He needed to see his partner; he was growing increasingly concerned that Magnus was hiding something.

“Counterparts? Excuse me, but who are you and why do you resemble me?”
Apparently, his counterpart hasn't yet learned about the tears. Still, while the mech is his counterpart, he's reluctant to fully explain until he has reason to believe the mech is trustworthy; currently he has no way of knowing his counterpart isn't from the mirror universe. "My designation is Prowl. From your appearance, it seems you're the version of me from an alternate universe."
