I had a few hours to lose and I’ve decided to recreate his inventory in photoshop while also adding a bunch of other headcanons - including my owns - to the list that she made (I also took some stuff out because I couldn’t make them look good my photoshop skills are not that strong please forgive me) anyways that was weirdly fun to make ! also…. this is gonna be controversial, but i think there is a huge difference between something that’s bigoted but within the norm for its time vs. outstandingly bigoted even for the time. obviously neither is ever excusable. but there is a difference between supernatural making gay jokes in 2008 versus them genuinely portraying a Black woman as a white man’s pet in 2013

also like. this might sound bad but ummmm i don’t care. hypothetical homophobia/sexism does not hold a candle to the very real racism that supernatural is dependent upon. like YES there is homophobia in supernatural YES there is sexism in supernatural. but you should not be elevating the hypothetically homophobic implications of dean’s death to the same level of criticism as discussions of racism in supernatural. like i’m sorry but as far as canon is concerned dean is straight (literally please don’t argue with me i don’t think he’s straight either but we have to really look at the authorial intent here) but the racism on supernatural is real! its in your face, literally anyone could see it, its right there! like these two things are really not the same because the racism on supernatural is clearly a reflection of how the creators view people of color and it has real world consequences. poor writing of dean’s character does not.
