Just getting to the point

My first Dragon Quest game was actually called Dragon Warrior. I learned about it through a commercial and I just HAD to have it! Got it as a Christmas gift and beat it January 27th, 1990. Yea, many years ago. It stayed in my memories for years. Played ALL of the main games, except for 9 and 10.

Dragon Quest XI (Distant Second)

Dragon Quest 4(my favorite NES and a very close third, but XI had a better group)

Dragon Quest II

Dragon Quest III

Dragon Quest was there for me before Final Fantasy or any other RPG series and a couple games on the Top Five list are also among my all time favorites.

You can blame DQ11 for this blog though since I started early December 2025. Lolol…or rather, blame the 1 and 2 2D/HD remake since it led me to finally starting DQ11 after sitting on it for far too long.

I really wish they had more than just nothingness happening in Act 2. Would have been neat to have another pathway instead of only Act 3.

But, because that didn’t happen, you don’t really get to choose if you want more than just half.

TBH, I don’t recall seeing any of this. Either I wasn’t looking or wasn’t paying attention. Then again, I ship “Eleven” with Hendrik.

But, if this was really said in game, then I can see why Erik/Luminary is the most popular m/m pairing.

2 Hours before announcement!

I know this is a long shot, but I hope that Dragon Quest 12 gets the Oblvion Remake Treatment. Announce and then it’s released TODAY! And then a Clair Obscur-like game follows right behind it!

Dragon Quest 40th anniversary ‘Update from the Dragon Quest Team’ broadcast set for May 27 - Gematsu

Square Enix will host an “Update from the Dragon Quest Team” broadcast on May 27 at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET / 22:00 JST, the company announced. You will be able to watch it on YouTube (English / Japanese).

The program, which will air in commemoration of the Dragon Quest series’ 40th anniversary, will run for 10 minutes.

Details about the contents of the program were not announced, but Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii recently teased a live stream would be held on May 27 to “announce the next game,” among “various other things.”

Outside of the broadcast, Square Enix is planning the following additional activities:

May 26 at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET / May 27 at 12:00 JST – Dragon Quest 40th anniversary special page launch

May 27 at 4:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 a.m. ET / 20:00 JST – Dragon Quest 40th anniversary celebration live stream feat. Eiko Kano’s Critikano Hit
