Last night, I dreamt I cheated on my husband. It had me fucked up this morning. What does this mean?

I’ve been cheated on before and it was devastating. I can’t imagine cheating on someone I love and have been with for almost 12 years. I would never cheat on my husband.

I am worried that maybe these dreams are telling me something. Maybe I’m more unhappy in my marriage than I thought. I’ve been questioning things for a while. It has nothing to do with him, and everything to do with me. I just don’t know what all of this means. I wish someone could just tell me what to do.

When I was in middle school and high school, I always said that the person I spend the rest of my life with has to like the same music as I do. I thought my forever person would be this hot guy with tattoos and we’d go to concerts together and life would be grand. I met my husband freshman year of college, and he’s the opposite of who I thought I’d end up with. We have some music taste in common but not a lot, and he is a lot more conservative. I feel like I started morphing into this person I thought he wanted, and in the process, I lost my identity.

I can’t help but wonder if I maybe settled too soon. Maybe I settled on this person because I so desperately wanted to be loved and accepted. Maybe I grasped into him because he was so different than anyone else I had dated. Maybe I wanted different because I was tired of having my heart broken by the same type of guys. UGH. I don’t know. I’m confused.

It sucks not be able to go to concerts together and enjoy the same music, especially when music has been so important in my life. Am I missing out? Would I be happier if we liked more of the same music and went to more concerts together? I don’t know. I’m confused.

Does anyone else relate to this? Someone please tell me I’m not alone. I feel so alone.

I have so many thoughts and feelings that have been stirring inside of me for so long. I tried shoving them down, but they always come back up. The war inside me has grown. I can’t ignore it anymore. I need to work through it. I hate journaling because I have ADHD and it’s hard to sit still and find the motivation. Posting on tumblr is far easier. So I guess this will be my “journal” while I process my thoughts and feelings.

Going to Sad Summer Fest tomorrow in ATL. It’ll be my first time going! Can someone explain to me how it works? Is it one stage and bands play one after the other or is it like warped tour with multiple stages? How long does it usually last? Help!!

Stop making fun of people’s jobs. It doesn’t matter if someone is the ceo of a business company, doctor, fry cook, retail worker, janitor, teacher, whatever. They’re doing what they gotta to to support themselves, and it’s none of your business.

If you’re scared to love someone, that’s the best indicator that it’s real. It must be frightening that the love you’ve been craving all your life is finally right in front of you. You’re scared that if you wanted it, it’s yours. You’re scared that the unconditional love you give, you’ll receive in return. Ultimately you’re scared because, what if something goes wrong? Don’t be scared. What if something goes right.
