So as of 17th December, tumblr @staff are banning adult oriented blogs & content. So that’s mine, my friends’, & a LOT of artists etc whose content will just be wiped from existence or view. Amazing. Well done tumblr, I expect this site to fester & die like MySpace once this happens.

So! I’ve no idea what to do with my archive & stuff, that I treasure as a big memory book on my journey in the world of fetish & kink. I can only hope it doesn’t get deleted, & if you already don’t you can follow me on Twitter @puppy_apollo ….well, that is until they enforce the same rules at some point, which I’m certain WILL happen eventually.

In a lot of ways tumblr changed my life. As weird as it is to say that about a website.

When I started posting my world was in pieces. My 4 year relationship was ending. My theatre and writing was flatlining. I had no idea what to do.

My drawing was a side interest. Something I occasionally did. Never my focus.

But you guys liked it. You followed, you reblogged, you messaged. I’ve met so many great people, heard so many things. Had opportunities I never would have before.

This awful reactionary, lazy decision by tumblr is genuinely heartbreaking to so many, beyond just having to look further for porn.

So please follow me to twitter and elsewhere, if you haven’t already. If a better venue for posting nsfw art appears, I’m sure I’ll end up there too.

Thanks for the pervey memories. Let’s go make more.

Tumblr Inquisition

When did freedom of expression suddenly become an online crime? When did an attack on a specific subset of any group ever work to the benefit of any institution?

In this bloggers humble opinion, Tumblr’s December 17th forced genocide of Adult Content blogs is just another example of how our society is slipping backwards in its level of tolerance towards anything that is different, preferring to have this type of content hidden away, and marked with a scarlet letter of intolerance and shame.

Are there issues revolving around certain types of blogs Yes. Child pornography and other unacceptably content is abhorrent to all. Is Tumblr going after those specific types of blogs? No. Are they setting up a system that blocks minors from accessing adult content blogs? No. They are preferring to follow a simplistic “nuke it all” approach rather than address the overall problem. Taking a M.A.D (mutually assured destruction) approach, can only end in one way, for without adult content, Tumblr will die off.

So my friends and followers(93k amazing individuals), I challenge you to reblog this note, and challenge Tumblr’s decision. Perhaps, if enough of us stand up and protest some good will come of it. Resist, and fight the good, and honourable, fight.
