The split second where it looks like he can see Ada through the window.
During this first sighting of Ada, there’s a split second were Leon looks outside once the bullet hits and cracks open window. His eye is looking outside of the window possibly at Ada. Even though we are following a similar story, which is that Leon somehow found out that Ada was alive prior to seeing her, this clip could also serve as a possible sighting that made it so Leon knew she was alive.

This is LITERALLY the first smile we see from Leon. And of course know that he’s much colder, this facade of being stoic to handle his traumas. Be it shock, or just disbelief, he’s still smiling at the sight and sound of her.
(He drops the gun*)
Side note, she never has her finger on the trigger.
They easily let each other go after they have a small fight. Although one could argue that neither had the upper hand at any point. Mind you, Ada still has her gun in her hand the entire time of the fight, whereas Leon dropped his gun the second Ada told him to.*
And again we have another smile as he watches her slipping away through the window.
