SO MANY HOUSEKEEPING

BOND COMP (James Bond themed competition) is at QUEEN’S on Nov 14

- Let us know ASAP if you want to come/can come/CAN’T come! We want to send 2 teams, if we can. Best way to learn: by doing

- There will be FA, WR, and physicals (medley (I’m going to try and work out fins) and obstacle - therefore nothing crazy)

- cost will be ~$25, plus transportation. 

- We’ll try and get billeting, or you can stay with a friend (aka we won’t be paying for a hotel or something)

- We’ll leave London on Friday, and come back Sunday (there will be festivities Saturday night, likely)

Start Collecting your FA stuff!

- Gloves, triangle bandages, pieces of wood (for splints), Popsicle sticks.

- Ice packs! or ratchet rice packs; Nicole will go over these soon at practice

- Sugar; juice is usually easiest. Also some “sterile water”

Please try and make as many practices as possible!

Hey team! Here’s some housekeeping for the start of our season:

Protip: snag a TEB locker for your gym stuff/FA kit! Then you don’t have to lug your kit around :) They’re big, too! (aka store your backpack when we’re at the gym)

Please please please let the captain or a coach know your status for Oktoberfest! Even 3 is better than none. No experience required - you'll learn best by doing, anyway (even if we’re last, we’ll still get points!)

We’re looking into new team shirts!

Also I put together a resources book for you guys

And I’m looking into getting some FA goodies

Basically I’m hoping no more that 15-20$ to cover #swag

We want to plan… social events… for people to come to… and donate... (aka we want to have “fundraising events,” to cover comp reg costs first. If we can pull enough $$$, we want to cover travel cost for comps, buy the team some flippers, and if the gods smile on us, refund the costs of your #RookieWelcomePack (since we’re all first years on the Purple Ponies))

On this note, if you want to have some kind of fundraising/social/team building/whatever title of your choosing, let Nicole know and we can make that happen (ie, nice title for resume, and you work out the logistics for these social things)

Ana’s google calendar has the swim workouts we did in the past down as details for the event. This is a great resource if you can’t make swim practice!

We’ll have Jasper’s workouts all put in one spot, too, likely in the google drive, so when you’re added to the calendar, we’ll add you to the resources folder
