desmond felt his blood boil with rage. heâd come so far- he was so close,
and now this stubborn upstart- this insolent brat- was going to ruin it all!
god, and he couldnât just silence her or take her place- what would have
happened to desmond sycamore then?
his voice was cold, and as he approached the table where the photo of his
family was, and he did notice that it had moved. lovely- it seemed the girl
was determined to know all of his secrets. he took off his glasses, raising
it to his face, as if to put it on. he smirked, though he felt no enjoyment from
this situation. he was prone to tantrums and brutal tactics, but if he was truthful,
he did not want to hurt kharis.
why on earth did she have to be so nosy?
âare you proud of yourself? youâve figured out the big mystery! congratulations.
unfortunately for you, i canât have any of the others knowing who i really am.â
It was as she guessed. She'd had inklings of this theory since the start
of their journey, yet she hadn't a shred of proof, until now. Having
been the ONLY person to constantly get close enough with Descole, she
was able to take note of certain mannerisms, which she used to bring her
 to this conclusion.
And, as she additionally guessed, he was not happy with this.
Her eyes flicked over toward his hand lifting the family photo that she
had uncovered, and she winced, ever so slightly. That might have been a
bad move on her part, but how could she leave something like that alone?
Kharis had now seen Desmond's family, and what he was like before what-
ever madness had occurred. They looked happy. She was happy to see that.
But, now was not the moment for admiration.
âA little, yeah.â She admits, rather proudly. âI mean, me finding some-
thing out before Professor Layton? Come on-- anyone would be proud of
that accomplishment.â She then shifts, beginning to show obvious discom-
fort. How could she be so easily stiffened?
â--That so? At the moment, I'm the only one who does. Guess I was the
only one who bothered to figure it out.â
