and maybe eddie notices steve really mellows out after their sessions or scenes or whatever you want to call them. but he can't lay steve down for five hours wringing out every noise every time he's bratting so, jokingly at first eddie: "does someone need a spanking?" in response to some significant steve bratting. and steve freezes. honestly. all wide eyed and baffled but considering it. but of course brushes it off with a scoff or shove to eddies shoulder. but he learns quickly that eddie wasn't entirely kidding and he did in fact need that spanking. but he'd never admit it. not at this point in time.

thinking abt how steve had no one to go to at the end of s3 :( had no family waiting for him by the ambulances, so parental figure he could lean on. he had just went through unimaginable trauma no one but robin could understand and he has no one to hold him and tell him he'll be okay. :( just that wool blanket over his shoulders keeping him warm. but not warm enough like a hug would provide :(
