❛ — currently working on new icons because most of mine got deleted when i changed laptops. but if you’d like a starter, like this post! they will vary in length.
PRIM.
Prim was just trying to get to biology, her favorite class, getting her book while trying to balance the other textbook on her arm. At first, she thought the person next to her locker was Rory, wanting to know if they had homework…again. But that wasn’t his shirt. She closed her locket and tilted her head to the side, looking up at him. Maybe he was a senior she’s never met. “Um…hi?”
he scared her, he knew it. standing almost creepy-like, at a young girls locker, was sure a sign. nervousness fills his mouth, the faint trickle of sweat falling from his forehead. even in age, he never seemed good with speaking -- to anyone really. ❛ Sorry, I don’t mean to be weird. I was just wondering. Uh. Let me start this again. Hi. I am Pony -- don’t ask. Do you think you could help me with something? ❜
STRANGER.
the sudden tumble taken by this stranger was more than enough to draw johanna’s attention directly to him. her dark brows raised, deep brown eyes fixated on the young man in a stare before she stopped walking. “ damn, you’re CLUMSY. ” in spite of the blunt words spoken, however, johanna wasn’t entirely lacking in compassion. in a QUICK motion, she crouched by the stranger, deciding to help out with the papers that had been sent flying from the fall. “ you okay, man? ”
eyes pull up narrow, head shaking slightly as if in agreement. his clumsy nature came from his father, a male once said to be quite silly in his own youth. combating the jokes was a lost cause, Dally alway forced him to endure -- he MISSED Dally truly, despite the lack of compassion in his friends heart. ❛ Geez. Thanks. Always got love bein’ called clumsy. ❜ his words were a joke, coming off more harsh than predicted. looking up, eyes catch the glimpse of a girl. GREAT. ❛ I’m peachy. Always do this. Kind of stupid of me, ain’t watchin’ where I’m goin’. I’m PONY by the way, ain’t got another name so don’t laugh. You are? ❜
PRIM.
“How come you don’t get along with some of the other kids?” She knew that the East side doesn’t get along with the West side and vice versa. But Prim never knew exactly why. Her sister wouldn’t tell her anything and her mother wouldn’t know much about it. “I mean, what’s the point of fighting?” Maybe it was a stupid question but she was curious. He probably knew more than she did.
❛ I don’t know. ❜ The lie was sweet on his tongue, adjusting perfectly over the years. Why had he hated the other kids? It was a complex question requiring a well suited answer -- sadly he sought to spill only a half witted response. ❛ Ain’t got notin’ to do with me. Them Socs are always lookin’ for trouble. They think they are so cool with them nice cars and rich dads. It ain’t right, they ain’t right. ❜ Perhaps most of the anger stemmed from jealously, THOUGH his following mentality spoke differently. Friendship was key to survival, you choose one side or get swallowed whole by the lot. ❛ Ain’t got good business with them, THAT’S ALL. Why are you so interested? ❜
spending the day out of town, so i will hold off on my replies until tonight/tomorrow
I MEANT TO DO THIS WHEN YOU FOLLOWED ME BUT OMG MY HEART. I was --- obsessed!! with the outsiders from like grade 7 and on, and to this day it's my favourite book. and I didn't think anyone WROTE anyone from there... I used to write as Sylvia ( Dallas' girlfriend ) and WOW. thank you for existing.
THIS IS MY OMG LET ME LOVE YOU FACE. Can I love you?? I loved the Outsiders ever since I read it in middle school. They are a perfect tragedy that they all need to be held and ugh I would have killed to see that Sylvia (slightly crying because dally).
Nothing stay forever, nature’s first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; but only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, so dawn goes down today. Nothing GOLD CAN STAY.
indie Ponyboy Curtis written by Lizzie
SANDY.
Sandy had been going about her business when she had become distracted by some commotion. Something about one of the voices was familiar, but she couldn’t quite place it until she saw his face. “Ponyboy?” she asked softly, not thinking about the conversation that she was interrupting.
❛ Sandy. ❜ He awkwardly voiced out, eyes shifting back and forth between the man and the girl. ❛ What are you doing here? UM this ain’t what it looks like, honestly. It was a mistake, you believe me right? ❜

“bitch better have my money.”
“bro… that’s so… not cool…”
“but did you do it?”
“call me now. it’s urgent.”
"can’t you listen to me?”
“cross that. don’t answer that.”
“don’t even think about it.”
“don’t you dare walk away.”
“do it. i dare you.”
“did you think i forgot?”
“eventually… you just move on.”
“even if you still do.”
“everything will fall into place.”
“fight me, you attractive stranger.”
“for once, i need you.”
“for once… i was right.”
“for once… i was wrong.”

“i can’t be around you.”
“i don’t need you, really.”
“i don’t need this now.”
“is this your first time?”
“it’s just a cut, really.”
“it wasn’t me, i swear!”
“i said i love you.”

"just… come back alive, okay?”
“just make sure you’ve eaten.”
“kick his ass for me.”
“killed him? wait, what, literally?”
“life really sucks. feel better.”
“letting go hurts… a lot.”
“let me live, will you?”
“no, i don’t need you.”
“nothing can hurt me now.”

“okay it was me… so?”
“people lie all the time.”

“quiet. they can hear us.”
“quick! give me your phone!”
“quicker, you freaking piece of-”
“quit it or i’ll bite.”
“quit staring! they’ll notice us!”
"really? do i look stupid?”
“real smooth, tripping over air.”
“rise and shine, sweet thing.”
“rise and fucking shine, motherfucker.”
“seriously? give me a break.”
“so… what are we now?”
“so… did you miss me?”
“so… can we go eat?”
“so… when’s the next flight?”
“so… how did everything go?”
“sometimes, i wish you died.”
“so what? you did it.”
“time passes slower without you.”
“then what do you suggest?”
“the fuck? who are you?”
“then you tell me why.”
“this is not working out.”
“this isn’t what i wanted.”
“this is all a fucking disaster.”
“when did it all happen?”
“who knew you’d be here?”
“why do i even bother?”
“why do i love you?”
“why didn’t you tell me?”
“you’re just… so, so stupid.”
“you can’t be here now.”
“you look like an accident.”
“you really need to go.”
“you know who to call.”
"zero fucks given. next please.”
@prxmroseeverdeen liked for a starter.
Like a lost puppy, he was, wondering aimlessly through the school. Years, it felt like, since Pony stepped foot inside the walls of high schools --- Strange, it used to smell fresher, or perhaps newer? ❛ EXCUSE ME. ❜ His voice was barely auto able, masked by the bustling halls.
@shrinemade liked for a starter.
❛ -- Don’t you ever wonder what the world is like somewhere else? ❜ He pondered to himself, speaking louder than necessary. The mind always had a desire to trail off, question the impossible and test boundaries to other worlds. Since Johnny, the tendency to analyze heighten, sparking the literate side to the former uninspired writer.
@scdasgirl liked for a starter.
Oblivious to those surrounding him, Pony’s attention remained locked forward at the older gentleman. ❛ Well you know, it’s all a mistake sir. ❜ Not exactly. He had purposefully taken the item, though not for the reasons others would assume. He needed it -- somewhat.
@hydrophobiic liked for a starter.
❛ Well fuck. ❜ This had happened more than once, his shoe catching the edge of the street corner and hurdling forward to the ground. Papers went flying to the cement, dropping beside his hands. Hunched over, Pony exasperating habit, clumsy really -- a curse he truly DESPISED. ❛ Excuse me, can you please make way. ❜ He called out, hands feeling forward towards his journal.
@teencgewitch liked for a starter.
❛ Jesus fuckin’ Christ, you got to shine that at me? ❜ His words are sharp, head twisted away from the light. Eyes are narrow, BLINDED by the obvious tortuous flash. ❛ Ain’t you got somethin’ better to do than snuppin’ around these parts? Are you apart of some Scooby game or somethin’? ❜ But frankly, he had no right to argue. This was not Brooklyn, it was Riverdale, a strange town he stumbled upon in his studies. The aurora that radiated off the old style diner caught his attention, luring him in as if a trap set for Ponyboy.
SANDY.
“Don’t worry about me, Pony. I’m just better off outside right now.” Her father had come home drunk again. Her younger brother was off staying at a friend’s house, so she didn’t have a good reason to stay.
“I know you ain’t a kid.” Sure, Ponyboy was the youngest of the group and Darry was protective of him, but she wanted to stay on his good side. “But Darry is gonna get worried. You’re not alone?” When asked why she was out, she tried to divert the conversation again. “I should ask you the same.”
He knew it was true. Most were better off in the wild than trapped away indoors. Loving parents falsely existed, the world cruelly bestowing only tragedy on children. ❛ Darry is always worried. It ain’t goin’ get better if I go home now. ❜ Age was a number that scarcely matter, EXPERIENCE was key to survival in the mist of danger. ❛ Not alone, you’re here. ‘nd I ain’t doin’ nothin’ wrong. Just wanderin’. Darry was yellin’ again ‘nd I don’t know where Soda is. I wanted a drink ‘nd we got none. Do you think the store is open? ❜
