It has indeed be a very long while since the feline one’s last visit; and while none of her coming were happening in normal situations, this one was… Raising the stale once more.

That lady wasn’t anyone, mused lien-da inwardly. But it was beyond the current point.“It has, indeed,.. Been an eternity. But i doubt it had been long enough for you to become a mummy. I am not exactly young by any stretch, but it wasn’t a century ago neither~.”She had chosen humor to try and disarm a situation already passably negative.

kirara chuckles softly and gives lien-da a small smile “i see you still have your sense of humor my friend. and i havent become a mummy, i just ah... recently escaped a bad situation and im still healing from  what was inflicted on me while i was imprisoned”

she shakes her head a little, making a face “there isnt anything a mortal doctor can do tho help me, unfortunately, i just have to heal on my own. and im not really in any danger, i just need to be… careful with myself for a while”

An eyebrow raised with uncertainty, a mixture of confusion within his expression as he’s trying his best to make out what to make out this situation. This didn’t sound good, none of this did, yet she seemed to be watering it down?

No doctor could help? Chaos, was she serious? Starlight didn’t like the sound of this either. “Damn it, so, you have to wait it out? What about if it ends up getting worse? Don’t you have a plan B?”

she nods a little, making a face and letting out another ragged cough before replying “unfortunately yes i have to wait it out” she pauses, then adds “and no i dont have any plan b, either i’ll heal and come out of this stronger or i’ll die. and considering how long ive lived...i wouldnt exactly be complaining” she pauses, then adds “all i can really do is what ive been doing, resting as much as i can and avoiding fights, for the most part”

Angeal grinned, tilting her chin up slightly and leaning in to bite at her lower lip. His other hand reached down to squeeze her ass, pulling her against his body. ┆ ♪ ┆ At first Shigure didn’t know what to expect seeing the hand reach out, nearly flinching before the touch made contact with his hair. A confused expression crossed the young man’s face with his newly disheveled hair the only person to do such a thing was his mother, taking him back to when she was alive and well before snapping to the present. A slight cough almost in an ‘ahem’ fashion escaped his lips while using his hands to straighten out the mess of sky-blue hair rather slowly.

So she too experienced war first hand by the sound of things, finding another who suffered from the same thing hadn’t been expected but a nice turn of events. Before a light smile reappeared upon Shigure’s features, followed by his Pegasus nosing him in the back as a way to provide comfort. ❛I’ve had enough battle to last me a lifetime, I’m merely exploring to find new places and learn new things. Perhaps I can even write a song about the things I come across, the only song I know is the one mother taught me when she came to visit away from the war even if they were short.❜

┆ ♪ ┆ The answer causes Shigure to blink before a hand raised to the back of his neck, followed by a sheepish smile appearing over his features in an embarrassed manner. ❛Ah, dreadfully sorry I took Nekomata as your last name.❜ Even if she was a Yokai who she just explained to be bad there was a clear difference here, no malice penetrated the air rather a feeling of friendliness, the kind that held no inkling of trickery. A chuckle escaped him upon being called foolish perhaps the time away from battle dulled the young man’s senses, before a shake of his head followed the next part of the other’s sentence. 

❛I just arrived here through a gate from my realm, while I may not appear to be a fighter don’t let it fool you I grew up in a time of war. Even if my time away from the battlefield has dulled such tendencies, they never truly go away no matter how sad it is to admit.❜ A bittersweet smile appeared upon the sky-blue haired man’s face, remembering how confronting the Silent Dragon brought an end to everyone he knew and loved.

she huffs quietly as she watches the two interact, a small smile crossing her features as she replies “they are residents of this realm but that doesnt make them any less dangerous. unfortunately most yokai see humans as either playthings or food…if they deign to notice them at all. im the exception to that rule.” she pauses, then bonks herself in the head and adds “where are my manners, i never even introduced myself! my name is kirara nekomata, and you are?”

┆ ♪ ┆ A nod of his head showed Shigure was listening to the other speaking taking every word into account, those beings would be something to avoid whenever he came across them or at least something to kill out of self-defense. ❛I see thank you for telling me of this, even if it was the hard way I’m glad to find that out…❜ Boy even outside of his world trouble sure had a knack for finding the singer, perhaps a trait left over from the circumstances he had been conceived under. An exception to the rule came as no surprise given the brutal attack he just witnessed, the beings had a reason to flee in terror after such a thing. 

Yet, the sudden action caught Shigure’s attention once again another smile, this time, softer appearing over his features mistaking the last part as her last name in the process. ❛Pleasure to meet you Kirara, my name is Shigure. Do you mind me asking what you are? I don’t want to get it wrong as I’ve never seen anyone like you back where I’m from, the closest thing kind of resembling you is a Kitsune.❜ Hopefully, the question didn’t come off as offensive while allowing himself to dismount his Pegasus, landing with grace before walking back into the young woman’s view smile still ever present.

the creatures come towards him, hissing and, oddly enough cackling menacingly before they’re suddenly pounced on by what looks like a massive feline who kills the one nearest to him with quick efficiency before looking up at the others all of whom bolt, terrified. the cat turns to the new arrival with a soft growl before seeming to light aflame and a moment later there seems to be a teenage girl in an orange tunic, black leggings and boots standing there, she’s got the same ears and tails and eyes as the cat form before and looks rather annoyed “why didnt you run you idiot? dont you know a yokai when you see one?” she asks, coming over to shigure and looking him over, seeming relived to not see any injuries “who are you anyway? and where did you get a pegasus?

┆ ♪ ┆ Well, looked like his hesitation found an answer when the creatures hissed and cackled at him, yet before action could be taken once of them was pounced by a massive looking… Kitsune? Looked like one besides the odd tails and coloration nothing like his home’s residents, one of the evil things falls dead from the attack as the others scatter in what could only be fear. The entire ordeal causes Shigure to blink while the Pegasus shook its head in dissatisfaction, followed by the larger creatures growl then a burst of flame causing him to cover his face with a hand by instinct. Only to see a young girl retaining the ears and tail of the once massive creature, so this being was a lot like the shifters back in his world. 

Taking in her appearance it was easy to tell she was annoyed before finally speaking, at least they spoke the same language seeing as Shigure could understand her. ❛I apologize I’m not from around here, I did not know if they were the residents that reside here the last thing I want is to cause any misgivings.❜ A low bearing sigh escaped the sky-blue haired man’s lips, obvious these ‘Yokai’ were the bad things given how they were acting. 

Taking his attention away from his Pegasus once she walked over a smile appeared across the young man’s features, a hand reaching out to pat the side of his companion’s neck in what could only be adoration. ❛A long time ago when I was still a small child, ever since then they;ve been my most trusted friend.❜ In response, the pure white horse moved to meet Shigure’s touch as if to nuzzle the hand, then shaking its white mane at the girl in what could either be showing off or a warning not to try anything funny around it.

┆ ♪ ┆ After spending  so much time alone in his world the young man slowly began feeling lonely, enough to spark a desire for more than just sitting around and painting all day. With old friends gone there wasn’t much left to do when a thought crossed Shigure’s mind what about the Dragon Gate? Surely it could take him somewhere at least a little exciting, perhaps enough to take his mind off the past events that plagued his sleep combined with a feeling something was forgotten. 

Just what that was he had no idea as there was no indication what could be causing such a thing in the first place, no matter taking his most trusted partner through the gate showed a different world. One he did not recognize even slightly beside the fact all trees and grass appear the same, rather curious before something felt amiss… One glance behind him showed the Dragon Gate had vanished as if never there, this sent a wave of dread through the young man could this have been a mistake? 

Yet, before Shigure could collect his thoughts odd looking creatures jumped out from seemingly nowhere, shock spread across his features almost instantly were these things an enemy? They certainly looked nothing like the ones from his world perhaps the residents of this one, a hand reached out to steady his friend as the Pegasus more than seemed upset by these circumstances but Shigure felt too unsure.

Rumors and Reality

Lady’s recent job had taken her quite a ways away from home. She had driven over six hours to arrive at this small city. It had been reported that strange things were happening and many amounted it to demonic activity. More lesser demons seemed attracted to the area as of late.

Quite a few people had already abandoned their homes to escape the area. Others, though, insisted nothing was wrong. Or that it was simply paranoia making people think there was more to things than there actually was. Sure they had some lesser demons who showed up more often than they used to, but it wasn’t for any particular reason. Just a change in the weather, they said.

So when Lady first arrived, she initially drove around until she found some of the lesser demons roaming through one of the more desolate parts of town. She pulled out her gun and began to fire as she drove her motorcycle towards the throng. She used her bike to her advantage, to keep on the move. She speed past some demons, spinning Kalina Ann to the side enough to slash at those nearby with the blade. She’d then make a sharp enough turn that she was able to keep firing off at them.

its about then that a massive boomerang would rip through the demons she’d been shooting at and a cream colored blur would dart in among the ones it had missed, ripping several to shreds before darting back out before any could retaliate and lighting several on fire in her wake. the blur settles on a tree branch fora moment, its what looks like a teenager but she’ s got twin tails and cats ears and blood-red eyes and she shoots the other hunter a grin before lunching for one of the larger demons in the hoard, spectral claws appearing on her hands as she rips into its throat

Lady immediately turned to account for the new arrival, unsure if they were a friend or foe. It only took a moment before she recognized her. Or, at least, she recognized the description of her. She had never seen the other before, but had heard enough. She didn’t let her guard down, just in case, but she assumed she was only here to lend assistance. Lady quickly parked her bike, shooting off another rocket at a crowd of the demons before drawing her guns and firing off at those remaining. It wasn’t long before they were all dispatched. Lady then turned her attention to the other woman. She still had a hold of her gun but didn’t aim it at her. “You must be Kirara..”

once the demons are all slain kirara comes ot a stop, checking the massive boomerang-its as large s she is-over as she replies “yes i am and you must be the demon huntress lady,, yes? i certainly hope you dont plan on trying to slay me as well, i would rather not kill you if i dont have to, i happen to liek humans” she doesnt look at lady as she speaks but she knows the womans exact position and is more than prepared to defend herself if need be
