“Something’s wrong,” Toya comments, grey eyes piercing as they set on his figure.
They're at Toya's house, as his parents are out for the evening. It's comforting to know they won't be walked in on, as it's a risk whenever Toya has to feed at his place.
“You've been rubbing your neck more than is normal for your mannerisms. Does it hurt?” Toya, smart as he is, nails the issue first try.
His neck's been hurting for a little bit now, and if he had to guess it's from the bites adding on to everyday strain and causing problems. He doesn't want Toya to stop, though. They don't have another way to get Toya blood, and he has to admit that he likes having Toya on top of himself, lips pressed to his neck. It's shameful and greedy, as they're not dating, but he can't help wanting.
“‘M fine. We can carry on.” He takes off his hoodie before Toya can protest, but as he grabs the hem of his shirt, a cool hand wraps around his wrist.
“I could try drinking from another place, if you'd rather,” Toya offers. Akito wants to smack himself for being stupid. Of course, Toya mentioned other blood vessels being an option a while back.
But he does like the sensation of Toya's lips and tongue in a place as sensitive as his neck.
He shakes his head to dispel those thoughts. “Sure. What're our options?”
“Your radial and ulnar arteries, for example,” Toya hums, “They're close to the surface, though there's quite a few delicate structures in their area. Additionally, your wrist will hurt,” Toya pauses for a moment. “Your posterior tibial artery is in a similar position. We could try the femoral artery. It's a surface artery, and it's not near any joints, nor as many delicate structures,” Toya finishes, carefully observing his reactions.
“Sure, we can try that last one.” He takes off his pants and lays back on the bed.
As Toya settles between his legs, cool fingers tracing the front of his thigh, he realizes what he just got himself into.
He turns his head away, blushing furiously. This is worse than his neck. This is better than his neck. This is going to drive him crazy.
He jolts when Toya's fingers pull back the material of his boxers, looking back to see his other hand carefully pushing into where the edge of the material just sat.
“I can feel your heartbeat best here,” Toya explains, matter-of-factly. He’s sure his heartbeat is palpable everywhere, if Toya really tried. Akito curses the vampirism for taking away Toya's ability to blush. Does he feel just as crazy as Akito? Does the intimate position make heat spread through his cold body?
“Go for it,” He mumbles out, turning away again. Looking into Toya's blood red eyes, previously only colored those shades by swallowed up light, is only making him blush harder.
Toya's lips gently press into his skin, and he bites his lip to hold back an embarrassing noise when he feels Toya's tongue push into it. It's replaced by his fangs moments later, and he belatedly moves his hand into Toya's hair to pet through it. He barely hisses when Toya bites in, instead gently carding through his hair. Fangs are swiftly replaced by lips, and he risks a look back at Toya.
He can see a faint dusting of pink on Toya's cheeks, long lashes almost reaching the rosy skin. His eyes drift lower, tracing over the contours of Toya's throat and the way his Adam's Apple bobs with each swallow. One of his hands is still holding up the edge of his boxers, while the other moved to hold his thigh from below, cold fingers digging into the meat of it, grip tight like he doesn't want to ever let go.
Akito keeps watching, transfixed. He wants to look away, because this is too much for his brain; it's too close, too personal, too intimate. His body doesn’t listen, paralysed under Toya's touch; the heat only builds higher, along with the dizzyness and weakness from blood loss. Or maybe it's just Toya's presence that makes him weak in the knees?
Toya pulls away with a gentle brush of his tongue against the wound. Akito can only watch as he takes a moment to clean up a stray droplet, licking up from his inner thigh, before straightening up. Akito follows the movement of Toya's tongue as it darts across his bloodstained lips, so pink and perfect.
He surges up, capturing Toya's lips in a kiss. His head swims with the sudden movement, but that can’t stop him. He tastes his own blood as Toya kisses back, more heat coiling inside him at the thought of kissing his own blood off Toya's lips.
He’s kissing Toya.
He's kissing Toya, his partner and his friend who’s not his boyfriend.
Fuck.
He pulls away, apology ready on his lips. “Toya, I'm so—”
He doesn't get to finish, because Toya pushes him back down, kissing him again. When he tries to pull away, Toya only kisses him harder, one hand on his own while the other cradles his cheek.
“No apologizing,” Toya states after breaking apart, then leans in without letting him reply.
He relents and stops fighting, kissing back instead. Toya's lips feel warmer than they did on his thigh, incredibly soft against his own. His head spins with the sensations, but after taking in a desperately needed breath he only dives back in. He clings to Toya, hands tangled in his hair, unwilling to let him pull away. He wanted this for a long time, so he's going to take for as long as he can. There's black spots obscuring his sight of Toya, face flushed a beautiful shade of pink that reaches his ears. When Toya pulls away, he tries to kiss him again, only to be stopped by Toya's hands.
“I wanted this, too. But you need to rest first,” Toya says firmly, “I'll bring you some food and water.”
Toya tries to detach himself and get up, but Akito pulls him back down to crash their lips together. He keeps Toya in place for a moment, before his grip on Toya's hair loosens enough for Toya to pull away.
“C'mere,” He mumbles out, “Don't need anythin’ else.” He tries to pull Toya down again, without success. Damn it, why isn't his body cooperating?
Toya chuckles, low and warm, then leans down to peck his cheek. “I'll be back in a moment, I promise.”
Toya stands up despite his best efforts to make him stay. He dazedly stares at the door that Toya left through, already missing his presence. As promised, Toya does come back moments later, with some leftovers and a bottle of water. He waits until Toya sits down, plate set aside, before moving to drape himself over him. His head spins and he loses balance, crashing into Toya instead of leaning into him.
“Akito.” Toya's voice is stern, and he shrinks a little under his fierce gaze.
Toya picks up the plate and a spoon. He watches as he scoops up a bit of curry, then brings it to his lips. Blushing, he opens his mouth and lets Toya feed him. As embarrassing as it is, he doesn't want to upset Toya more than he already has.
“So irresponsible,” Toya sighs, “You could've fainted, you know.” His tone is light, but Akito can hear the worry hiding beneath.
“Sorry,” He mumbles around a spoonful of curry.
They sit in silence for a bit. He dutifully accepts every spoonful that Toya gives him, until the plate is empty.
“I've loved you for a while, Akito,” Toya finally says, placing the plate on his desk. Akito jumps with the confession, but waits to let Toya finish speaking. “I wasn't sure how to best bring up my feelings. So when you kissed me, I felt extremely happy,” Toya beams at him, “I wanted to tell you that it's okay, and I thought it'd be the easiest to show it. I apologize for making you even more lightheaded than you were.”
“Oi, don't apologize.” He flicks Toya on the forehead. “I love ya too, but I was plannin’ on talking ‘bout it with you first. Didn't wanna jump you so impulsively like I did earlier.” He rubs the back of his neck. “And sorry for makin’ ya worry.”
“Will you finally rest now?” Toya's arm wraps around him, holding him close.
“Yeah, I will.” He leans his head against Toya's shoulder. He turns his head to press a kiss to where his pulse should thunder loudest, then closes his eyes and allows himself to rest.
