arclight-knight:
Jaune was halfway out the door when Pyrrha called out to him. Ever since he’d seen the two of them…together, he had felt nothing but sick to his stomach. Had he not been on a team with her and her partner specifically, the knight would have found a different place to sleep while he felt like this. But…that wasn’t an option when most of your classes and training you desperately needed was with the woman who you couldn’t even look at.
“Nothing?” he repeated, not turning around to look at his partner. “I don’t think you doing THAT was nothing…” His voice was shaky with emotion and he fought back a roll of his stomach as the scene flashed before his eyes again.
Pyrrha listened to everything he said, soaking it in with clenched fists. Her immediate reaction was to put him before herself. To amend the situation, ease his pain and encourage him as she always did. She supposed she felt guilty. But that wasn’t fair. How could Jaune act this way? Pyrrha’s sympathetic expression twisted, her brows furrowing. No, she wasn’t going to hold her tongue anymore.
“Jaune, that is NOT fair.” She swallowed hard, “...Alright, it wasn’t nothing. I suppose, but comparatively... it really is nothing. You have no right to judge and tell me this. Not after everything you’ve done in front of me.” Pyrrha’s eyes welled with tears.
