Moodboard 001 // It’s Luka, Not Luke
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
Sean used to wonder what the big deal was about kissing. He’d kissed his girlfriend plenty of times in high school and never understood the hype. It involved his face being way too close to another person’s—a breach of his personal space—and it was kind of slimy. Though as his mouth moved against his boyfriend’s, all he could think of was how utterly wrong he had been. It was fascinating, all the different ways their tongues could tangle together. “That can be arranged,” he murmured.
He allowed Luka to lead them to the bedroom, since by now it seemed like something he should get used to–following him. Sean registered that they’d come to a wall when he was able to catch up to him, wedging himself in between Luka’s legs and closing the space between their bodies. His tongue traced the edge of Luka’s bottom lip before nudging his lips apart, slipping inside to swirl with his again. Everything about the male intoxicated him: his mouth, his body, his scent. He shivered with the thought that this could be a regular thing between them. Rolling his hips against him, he found friction against Luka’s jeans and gasped softly into his mouth. They had all the time in the world, but he wouldn’t be disappointed if they hurried things up a little. Sean broke the kiss and pulled Luka by his shirt into the bedroom. “You’re wearing too many clothes,” he rasped.
Slowly, Lukas let his body mold against Sean’s, strong muscles meeting the other male’s as he nipped at that lower lip, sucking on it before his tongue explored the expanse of the other’s mouth. Kissing had always been a means to an end as far as he was concerned, but not with Sean- Sean made it special, as crazy as that sounded, and he actually liked kissing his boyfriend, which was both insane and addictive. Letting out a quiet, “You make everything better,” he allowed himself to be pulled into the bedroom, pressing up against the other.
He’d always imagined himself as more passionate when it came to sex- but things were so desperate with Sean, he needed him, there was no time for drawing it out. Maybe he’d have to go on a sex marathon to get slow and passionate sex- maybe somewhere after round two or three they’d be able to do it, but right now he didn’t care, he just wanted his boyfriend, this older man who had driven him insane since the day they’d met. “Then let’s fix that,” he gasped out, pulling away just enough to rip off his shirt, chest bare and exposed as he dragged his hands through the other male’s hair. “It’s been far too long, Sean...” He was, after all, a horny teenage boy.
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
Six years. They had some catching up to do. “I certainly wouldn’t mind,” he said, smirking. His lips settled on Luka’s temple, fingertips trailing slowly down his arm. “Besides, what we’ll be doing before that won’t require any clothes.” Sean’s hand slid up the other male’s shirt, craving the warmth of his skin as it dragged the fabric upward. Maybe he was being too forward, but sex was all he really had to offer. Sean had never been good with words, but what he couldn’t say he could communicate with his body. “With you?” He laughed lightly. “Definitely ready for bed.”
Sean’s skin buzzed with excitement at the thought of sleeping with Luka again. For someone who liked to keep to himself, it surprised him sometimes how comfortable he was with sex. Perhaps it was the way it didn’t require conversation, how words were only exchanged on a need-to-know basis. This time, Sean knew they wouldn’t tarnish it with talks of what it meant and where they should go from there. All they had left to do was feel, and Sean would be allowed not to think for a little awhile.
“Not that sounds like my kind of bedtime ritual,” Luka muttered lowly as he kissed him, one hand sliding into Sean’s hair to keep the other male’s lips pressed to his own as the other ghosted over the skin bared to him. “I don’t think I’d mind sleeping if this was how I was being put to bed every night.” Lukas never slept much- nightmares leftover from his childhood made sure of that, but he was never particularly concerned about it. But with Sean, he found himself wanting to sleep, and sleeping well like they had that night they had sex, because he knew he’d be waking up to Sean, and that made everything worth it. “Of course with me.”
Slowly, he slid his hand down and into Sean’s, lacing their fingers together before he began stepping backwards, guiding the other male further into his own house, bedroom in mind. He knew where Sean’s room was from the night he’d spent, so he found his way easily, despite the fact that they only ended up outside of the bedroom door before he was pressing his lips to Sean’s once again, leaning against the wall and pulling his boyfriend up against him.
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
His boyfriend. Sean was so far out of his element that he wanted to laugh. His life had taken a sharp turn in a matter of days and he never saw it coming. In what kind of alternate reality was he living in where he could wrap his arms around Luka’s waist—where he even wanted to? He didn’t do boyfriends or girlfriends or any kind of close friends, because it was just easier to isolate himself than to let everyone down. But if Sean was just made of skin and bones, then Luka had wedged himself in between the two. The younger male had dragged him every step of the way, and although it had taken a little while, Sean realized he wanted to be along for the ride. “We’ll make it work,” he heard himself say.
Brown eyes stared into his, calling him back. Sean’s mouth went dry. “Yeah, you can stay,” he said, smiling. His tongue darted out to wet his lips. “That’s one of the perks, you know?” Although Luka seemed a little more coherent now, Sean didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of him driving home, considering the state he’d entered in. Not to mention it was far more enjoyable for him if he stayed.
“Of course we will. I haven’t waited six years not to put the effort in,” Lukas whispered, completely out of his territory. He’d never admitted that he’d had feelings for guys less than a month ago, but here he was, practically professing his love to Sean and completely sure that he wanted to throw away everything he’d ever known about himself in order to give their relationship a chance. Maybe they weren’t exactly going to go public- but they didn’t really need to. Their relationship was their business, not anyone else’s, so staying quite about it shouldn’t have been a problem. It’s not like they would hide it forever. Just until they thought they were ready- Sean to admit he’d found someone to settle down with, and Luka to admit he was gay. They would make it work.
A small smile spread across his lips as he leaned in, pressing their lips together once again, gently. “Yeah,” he whispered, nodding his head slightly. “Definitely one of the perks. Though something tells me I’ll either be sleeping naked or in my boxers-” He sent a pointed look at his boyfriend’s body, smirking slightly. “I don’t think I’ll give into any of your pants. I might not be fat, but I’m bulky anyway.” He found it almost laughable- he was bigger than Sean in most ways, and yet he’d more or less seamlessly taken on the female role in their night together, and even now. Not that he really minded. “You ready for bed, or are we watching TV?” Of course, a horny teenage brain wanted to ask if they were going to bed but not to sleep, but he bit his tongue, unsure if Sean would want that and not wanting to seem pushy.
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
The ever-present worries in Sean’s mind dulled to a murmur as their mouths moved together. hearing the word from Luka’s lips did something to him, twisted his chest in a way that both terrified and exhilarated him at the same time. Maybe it was the way Luka’s whole face changed when he said it, how every part of him seemed to light up at once. It affected him deeper than he ever thought something could.
He’s very fragile, though he’d never say it out loud. James’ words from earlier than evening pushed their way to the front of his mind. Sean wanted so badly to completely give in, to lose himself in the feelings that Luka managed to stir inside him, but there was something he needed to say first. He pulled away with a soft groan, resting his forehead against his. “Look, I don’t know the first thing about being a good boyfriend,” he said. “I’m going to fuck up, a lot. But–” he smiled softly, intimately, “–I’ll make it up to you every time.” It would take some getting used to, this new aspect of their relationship. After stalling for years, Sean would finally be forced to tackle his insecurities. His old habits of compromising himself–his sexuality, his feelings–would have to die. But he had spent years chasing this very feeling, and now that he’d caught it there was no turning back.
“I’ve been dating a female for six months, doing my best to avoid her,” Lukas muttered quietly, his hands sliding over the other male’s chest slowly. “I don’t know the first thing about being an actual boyfriend either. But being with you- I’m going to try. I’m going to make it work.” A small smile played on his lips as he allowed his body to melt into the older male’s, a shaky breath escaping him. “As long as you make it up to me when you’re done, you can do whatever you want.” That wasn’t true, of course- but Luka didn’t think he’d be able to hold a grudge against Sean, no matter what he did, even if it killed him. So he’d always forgive him.
A smile quirked his lips as he glanced slightly up to meet Sean’s eyes, his breath catching in his throat. “Does that mean I can stay the night? Despite the fact that it’s practically morning anyway?” he questioned sheepishly, his body working through the alcohol in his system and making him slightly more coherent as he spoke. The pills were still thrumming through him, but he’d always thought of himself as high functioning when he was high. Half the time no one could even tell if it wasn’t for the twitching and anger issues when he started to come down from his high.
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
Sean leaned into Luka’s touch unconsciously, feeling the familiar tingle when his fingers met his cheek. Luka made him feel high all the time, he realized. He could get drunk off his words and his laugh and his moans, buzzed from the way his mouth and his hands moved across his skin. It was no longer a question of how Luka felt–that boy felt things so genuinely and so fiercely that it almost made him envious sometimes–but the odds stacked against them were heavy on his back and he wasn’t sure how long he could carry them. Not to mention the fact that he shouldn’t want to, but lately his life had been filled with too many things he should be doing. He’d always thought that maybe some people just weren’t meant to be happy, but Luka’s eyes watched him with such an intensity that it couldn’t be ignored. He regularly indulged himself in things he was supposed to want or things that would help get his mind off what he couldn’t have, but now that passion was staring him right in the face, it was getting harder to justify pulling away from it. it would be the scariest thing he would ever do, giving someone access to all of his deepest thoughts and fears. Yet as Luka spoke, images of the two of them over the past six years flashed through his mind and he realized he had already done just that.
“It was insane,” he said. “But this whole thing is insane. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t.” He couldn’t lie to him–he never could. Sean took a deep breath, settling on what to say before he could change his mind. “I guess, if those are my only two options,” his hand reached up to gently grasp Luka’s wrist, “then I guess I have no other choice but to kiss you.” He leaned in closer, voice lowering to a whisper as words he never thought he would say left his mouth. “I can’t exactly kick out my boyfriend.” A smile bloomed on his face that was quickly wiped away when Sean’s lips closed the distance between them. His fear might have held him to the ground, but Luka taught him how to fly.
Luka couldn’t help but agree. This was insane- what they were doing was insane, he was insane, but he didn’t care. Being with Sean was the only thing he cared about. He’d been careful to put a lock on his emotions, no matter what happened, so being so open with the man was an insane, almost impossible feeling. How was he going to handle something like that? He didn’t know how to let someone in, but at the same time, he’d already let Sean in. There was no, ‘how do I let him in?’ It was just the knowledge that Sean had already wiggled his way into every aspect of who Luka was, and he didn’t regret any of it.
A bright, ecstatic grin spread across the brunette’s lips, almost to the point of making it impossible to kiss back- though after a moment, he melted into the kiss, both of his hands sliding up around Sean’s neck slowly. “Damn right you can’t kick me out,” he murmured against the older male’s lips. “As your boyfriend I won’t let you.” He felt almost giddy, calling Sean his boyfriend- he wouldn’t change it for the world. It felt right, calling the other male that. Who was he to disagree? He never would. Lips working against the older male’s, Luka’s football hands tugged and gripped his boyfriend closer, tighter to him as he moaned in the back of his throat. “Fuck...”
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
Sean shuffled back a step as Luka nudged him inside, feeling the air grow heavy around them. He watched as the other male’s eyes became unfocused in a way only inebriation can cause before settling on his. His expression was concerning. “Okay,” he said. A calm facade decorated his features as he prepared himself for the worst. “What’s up?”
Eyes wide, his lips parted and he fought to push words through them. “You did?” That wasn’t part of their plan. This wasn’t what they had discussed at all. His heart sank and soared at the same time, like a running dog bound by a chain. He swallowed it down, wanting to make a sarcastic remark, like Why did you come here in the middle of the night to talk about your girlfriend? but he knew. He knew what Luka was going to say next. The wings that Luka had given him a few nights ago were shrinking back into feathers and he bought himself some time. “How does it feel to be single?” He watched Luka’s body sway slightly and he wished more than anything that he wasn’t sober right now. Living in a haze gave him an ironic sort of clarity that he otherwise never got to experience, dulling the constant roars in his mind to whispers.
“I did,” he said finally, nodding his head slightly as his heart pounded in his chest. Sean meant the world to him, and if breaking up with Rachael was something that he had to do in order to get Sean, then it was what he’d do. Without a doubt- he’d liked the older man since he was thirteen. He wasn’t about to give up now. At Sean’s question, Luka paused to really think about it. He didn’t really feel any different- but maybe that was because he’d never really felt like he was dating Rachael. He’d never liked her. It wasn’t impossible to think that she really had just been a placeholder. Somewhere to get his dick wet when he was horny.
Despite the fact that his mind was hazy, Luka was sure of one thing, and one thing only. “It feels like something I want to change as soon as possible,” he whispered, hand lifting until his fingertips brushed over the other male’s cheek slowly. “I mean... If you’ll have me, of course. I...” Panic rose in his chest and he began stuttering out excuses, face coloring as he became sure that the man wouldn’t want to do something like that. “I get it if you don’t want to, or if you need time to think about it, but I want to be with you, and it wasn’t fair to her to be with her when all I want is you. So I ended it.” Body slumping, one of his hands rested on Sean’s shoulder as the other stayed on his cheek. “Say something. Do something. Kiss me- kick me out, I don’t know, just... Tell me what I did wasn’t completely insane.”
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
Sean lay on the couch, scratching his bare stomach as he flipped through television channels. It was pretty late, but Sean couldn’t seem to get his mind to turn off. Maybe he could bore himself to sleep with an infomercial. The roaring of a truck and a rapid pounding on the door distracted him from his task and he muted the T.V. He placed the remote down and pushed himself up off the couch, crossing the room with pajama bottoms hanging loosely on his hips. Pulling open the door, Sean barely had time to recognize who it was before a familiar pair of lips were on his. He was about to sink into the kiss when Luka suddenly pulled away. Sean blinked, disoriented. Remembering they were standing in his open doorway, he glanced over Luka’s shoulder instinctively to see if anyone saw. Though he couldn’t imagine who would be awake at this hour–he was probably the youngest person on the block by a decade.
“Now?” Did he know what time it was? Sean stepped aside to let Luka in and closed the door behind them. He studied Luka’a flushed face, the glassy look in his eyes, and wondered if he drove here. Those four words strung together were probably the worst in the English language, and Sean was absolutely sure he did not want to hear what proceeded them. “I was about to go to bed. How about we talk about this in the morning?”
“Now,” Luka muttered firmly, not about to let himself be distracted. This was good- this was good news, at least as far as he was concerned, so he wouldn’t let himself be sidetracked. “You don’t need to go to bed. This is more important.” Maybe Sean had to go to work the next day- he didn’t know, he’d never had a job, but still. that was beside the point. He gave the other male the most serious look he could while he was seeing two of him, hand gently pushing Sean further into his house so he could slip in and close the door behind him.
His mind was hazy, clouded, but he wasn’t about to let that show as he focused his eyes the best he could on Sean’s face, lips slightly parted before the words died on his lips. He knew he wanted this, more than he had really wanted anything in his entire life, but he was a punk high school kid, and yeah, maybe he was graduating in a little over a month, but maybe that didn’t matter. Maybe Sean saying no was an excuse to escape him, maybe it was just a one night stand to him. Heart racing in his chest in panic, he didn’t really know what to do or say, suddenly sure that Sean wasn’t nearly as serious about this as he was. But he still had to say it. Sean had to know, even if it wasn’t the same for him. Maybe. And then the words came spilling out, all semblance of eloquism gone as he blurted out probably the most important information he’d ever divulged in his life. And maybe the most important information that had ever graced their relationship, or ever would. “I broke up with Rachael,” he blurted, words spilling out and slightly slurred together.
Just Tonight || Sean & Luka
Luka’s mind was racing as he pulled up in front of Sean’s house. Considering it was always racing- be it from a pill to many or what- this wouldn’t have been that extraordinary, apart from the fact that he’d been a single man for all of fine hours. He hadn’t intended on breaking up with Rachael after having sex with Sean- that having a girlfriend would be the perfect cover for whatever they were doing, but he wanted to call Sean his boyfriend, and the other male had been right. They couldn’t be boyfriends- that title had already been someone else’s to call him. So here he was, after dealing with a very angry Rachael and drinking more than enough to get him tipsy- but definitely not drunk- he was here, sitting in his truck outside of Sean’s house. Swallowing the nerves in his stomach as he tried to get the courage to get out and knock on the door.
This is what you want, he reminded himself.
With that final thought, he was out of the truck and up the path, fist pounding on the door briefly before he stepped back and shoved his hands into his pockets, heart thundering in his chest. Whether it was from the drugs or nerves, he didn’t know, but his eyes locked on Sean’s after the older man opened the door, and Luka couldn’t hold back- surging forward and pressing their lips together, hands sliding up into the other’s hair. He was gone just as quickly, pulling back to look at him. “We need to talk.”
