“That Damn Android” - Solo

Having pulled Arthur Watts up above that rooftop, watching the golden light as Salem’s Grimm wale was destroyed for a spec of Grimm leftovers flooded the air, I had made myself useful, pulling Arthur out of the prisoner hold of Ironwood’s the stupid atlas military didn’t have a chance, all that mattered was that I got hold of the pathetic maiden android and stole the powers to the vault that would always be mine. Demanding Arthur helping me and hearing his words about him planting a virus, shouldn’t the little droid be following his tinkering machine skills and coming to us? Aggravated and unable to completely comprehend the words this stupid man was thinking, and rehashing all of my failures and faults, my shadow arm reaching out as the fall maiden powers burned to the surface of my eyes.

How dare this man tell me about my failures; did he want to die? Cause I could just throw him off the rooftop and tell Salem it was an accident. But his words stung, they reached down to the part of me that I longed to keep buried, somewhere where it showed that I did care about all of the things I had done. I let him go, I faintly heard him breath, as he mocked me once more. The black cape fluttering in the slight breeze as I sat on the roof right by the edge of the building, my eyes leaked tears for the first time in years, I wasn’t Salem’s successors I was her burdening failure, I had finally let all of the deep thoughts of my soul flood to the surface as quietly as I could. Did I honestly think I stood a chance? My mind honestly thought, was this really the life I am now to always lead?

-Who I Am- #Solo

I can still hear the wooden brush scratching away the dirt of the damned hotel, the collar that produces so much electricity and the stupid twins who only made my life more miserable. Whenever I had trouble resting before my Queen ordered me for whatever she chose, I would play those memories like a childhood lullaby, remembering the time where I finally managed to slice apart and sever the ears who tormented my childhood.

It was the only reminder of who I was and who I become. Being found by Salem was the knight of dark armor my only breath needed. She had promised me many powers, and that she would guide me to be the most powerful huntress at her side. She truly showed me what a Queen can do. I looked at the glass chess piece that I had cremated again, shiny black with almost a hint of transparency, and as my eyes examined where I could have used my semblance better, I looked over to the door, Mercury and Emerald. Emerald loved me like family and although her own semblance was rather impressive, the clinging behavior and the constant need for my attention pissed me off—I could say many harsh words, but all I could think of was “Get off me.”

The boy without the abilities, other than his stupid metal legs, was giving me orders? How in the fuck did he make it up the ranks over me? Wasn’t I Salem’s favorite anymore? I was her fall maiden. Watching as the metal boy walked out of the room, I knew that when Salem summoned it wasn’t to be one to be late, too.

My Grimm arm had finally stopped hurting and the pain each time it did became more manageable—nothing like the electric shock collar I was used to. Gathering here, we all greeted our Queen, joined by the boy who had Ozpin locked up inside him. It felt good to be welcomed by our Queen’s side once again. “Cinder...” my Queen’s voice spoke and that’s when it began once again.

The Grimm arm torturing and fighting with my body, my aura couldn’t protect me since the moment I had become the fall maiden, my lips echoed cries as the pain continued to worsen, as Salem spoke barely with such monotone that I couldn’t hear properly because my cries echoed out as the grim arm pushed through so many pain barriers. My mind, thinking of the electric shock collar and all I had done to become stronger, to the point it never hurt me.

I tried to do the same tricks as the cries escaped my lips from the grim arm. But what felt like some eternity of pain lasted over mere minutes, as the pain soon stopped and my Queen reached for my hand. It wasn’t my human one, but my Grimm arm, forcing itself to its maker ever since I wore that glove. This is who I am.... And this is where my stories never finishes....
