So I was working on a new concept for my fanfic and it hit me why ichiro killed riko and kept titsuji ..

So the trials that are currently going on in the aftg universe are the butcher trials and the jeans parents both crime families related to the moriyamas or working for.

Stuart said "rebuilding an empire is no easy thing" about what ichiro is doing.

The fbi is currently involved and ichiro has men in the fbi so he knows about the current investigation and the trials are under the R.I.C.O act (a nice law student who is obsessed with aftg mentioned this I don't know her @ but she's blond) so I dug into it and basically what this law stands for (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) It targets leaders who direct crimes rather than just the individuals who commit them.

Ichiro knows that's what they are doing so the reason he kept titsuji alive is because he will have him take the fall for everything pinning everything on him cuz ichiro unlike the second branch seems cold and calculating not forgetting he's not going to let what they did pass they exposed so much in the last two years

Anyways idk if I'm reading too much into this but I think that's what's going to happen Titsuji's fate won't be death it will be taking the blame for everything which is perfect considering at first he was just a by stander who watched everything from the side like (rikos treatment and letting kengo kill his best friend) he didn't stop it or do anything about it then became an active participant causing riko to turn into a monster and abusing his own god son his best friend's son basically kidnapping him and keeping him away from his actual guardian and his father.

Seeing him having to take all the blame seems like the perfect ending for him.

"why do you always shit on Neil josten?" Because I am Neil josten sadly

I will always run my mouth dig my own grave and get mad when ppl don't act how I would in their shoes

I love Kevin because sadly I am too much like Neil to like him

When I read the first book and the Colombia scene came up I went ohhhhh fuck I am too much like him

Or the cabin scene when he was confused on why Kevin was scared with zero empathy for Kevin's feelings or his trauma (I also can't sympathize unless I went through something similar)

So yeah I love myself but reading about most annoying traits annoy me

I love Neil as a character he's the reason I even went on with the series but we are too alike for me to like it you know.

And hey we are also both obsessed with Kevin day and would do anything for him

Here are some random one I made from two different ideas I never finished just random foxes and trojens idk I ran out of passion for the rest of both plots

Most Kevin haters have one argument

"Kevin day is a coward look at Neil and what he did"

You mean Neil the idiot (I love Neil) with no survival skills who almost died at his dad's basement and only survived out of pure luck

You mean Neil who went to evermore with the promise that he won't harm Andrew (riko is a liar and will not keep his word) and got hurt there for two weeks for nth Andrew was still harmed

Neil who got them into an even deeper mess with the mafia

That Neil

Difference is Neil doesn't think rationally he has this weird complex he's chaotic which is amazing don't get me wrong but he didn't make a single good decision the entire time

"But Kevin is a coward" no he isn't Kevin has been with them the longest he knows how to play it safe

Jean been there for 4 years

Neil went there for two weeks

Kevin was there for 10 fucking years he knows how they operate

Also Kevin wasn't sold he was betrayed ofc he won't handle it the same

Neil is chaotic and stupid most his choices are made on impulse he doesn't care what the outcome is he thinks he's a dead man

Kevin has a lot to lose remember the mafia knows who his father is and his father is someone who isn't involved

Kevin thinks a million times he calculates the risk and the outcome because that's how you survive

Kevin didn't want to die because if he does so does jean and his father and probably Abby btw

Neil doesn't have that weight Neils mom was already dead

So no they don't compare when you have nothing to lose you have the luxury to act irrationally

Also Kevin was brainwashed some of you forget that 10 years isn't a short time spacially due to his cptsd

Kevin wasn't 18 or 14 (not saying jean didn't suffer he did my poor boy) when he was being abused he was 9 it shaped how his brain works

Plus to Kevin riko was his brother before he was his abuser and titsuji was his uncle/godfather so it's a totally different scene

So yeah read with your eyes open please it's getting sad
