TRUTH - Selena Gomez 'lip-syncing'
If any of you are interested in the truth regarding Selena Gomez's whole lip-syncing scandal, then please, feel free to carry on reading.
Selena was performing at the Jingle Bell Ball in L.A. a few night ago, as I'm sure many of you know. She attempted to rock the 'bob' hairstyle again, but of course it just doesn't suit her. She should stick to basics tbh.
Anyway, besides this a lot of people were criticizing Selena for lip-syncing and having a go at her sound people, shouting 'what the fuck' when she didn't realise the mic was on. So just to make clear, she was not lip-syncing. A man called Dave Styles who works for KIIS FM in LA where she was performing, was doing all of the on stage announcing for the Jingle Bell Ball and was side of the stage when Selena performed. During last nights show, he told exactly what happened.
The problem with Selena's performance wasn't what many spiteful people were saying online, going on about how rude she is and how she has to lip-sync etc.. (please note I am not defending Selena or saying she can actually sing, because she can't) the problem lied with her ear pieces. Dave himself has said "The ear pieces inside - they’re called in ears - they were having issues, I don’t know if they were off or just too loud sometimes. So she had to pull them off. So she couldn't really hear."
See, so she couldn't really hear anything at all whilst performing, which is very important as it keeps the artist in time with the song. At the show they were having tons of technical difficulties, so it's hard to blame Selena or immediately say she was lip-syncing. Which as you'll read below from a reliable source, she wasn't.
“A lot of people I've noticed saying that she lip synced, and I can tell you she did not lip sync. She was not lip syncing. But she did come out and say ‘sorry we’re having audio issues’. The audio issues she was referring to were the in ear things.”
That just proves it even more, even though she can't sing for ****, the accidents at the ball were NOT her fault, however, it was fun watching her being embarrassed, am I right? thought so. Now to address the whole, 'what the fuck' situation, which is again very easily explained.
“What happened is, the first song stopped, the lights kind of went quiet for a minute, she walked to the back of the stage and she yelled ‘What the ****!’ And unfortunately that was still on mic. The best part was, after all that, you can clearly tell she’s mad. The lights came back on and she had to smile.”
Selena had no idea what was going on, and was clearly getting frustrated with all of the technical difficulties that were going on during the show.
Again, just to make it clear I am not defending Selena for her bitchy actions of for saying she can't sing. Obviously, there was no need for swearing on a stage when she didn't know if her mic would be on or off, which a lot of artists do in between sets, One Direction actually do it quite a lot. It's just embarrassing tbh, watching people slating Selena for something that isn't even true. If you're going to trash her, at least get it right.
