The fact that I keep on getting this kind of shit, defending someone outing another person as trans on national tv in front of millions of viewers, and somehow that’s Zeke’s fault that he didn’t tell anyone, except for one person, who betrayed that trust, is mind boggling

I can’t believe someone who is trans can actually say this. I don’t think Zeke even told Varner though. Varner said somewhere that he picked it up somehow but never said Zeke told him.

1. Wtf Varner how could you?!? I feel so bad for Zeke. He deserves better. He is an awesome guy.

2. The tribemates handled it well by standing up for Zeke.

3. I see how it was annoying that Sarah made it about herself but I do think it was important what she said. Midwestern people are often conservative and don’t meet LGBT people so she was speaking to the conservative Survivor watchers out there. Maybe now they have opened their minds to accepting trans people. Maybe they like Zeke enough to want other trans people to be treated well by society.

Also, people are praising Sarah for doing the bare minimum. Sure, some of the nonsense she said was good, but that comment “I know Zeke is not that person” (or something like that) sounded weird to me. I may be reaching, but the way she worded it was like “you’re one of the good ones, not like OTHER trans people!” You still voted Trump, so bye bye. 👋🏻

As someone from the midwest (LGBT) who has heard people before like this, I think she meant that Zeke is Zeke and he isn’t defined by being trans. Zeke doesn’t want to be defined by being trans so that’s what she was saying.
