I got way too overwhelmed trying to start fresh on this blog so I just decided to make a new one.

I'm looking forward to writing again!
I'm around to write, like this for a starter or for me to reply to one of your starters.
"It's a date." He echoed like a promise, that contagious smile pasted on his lips before he took his leave.
Axel was admittedly nervous. He'd been on dates before but for the first time he felt like she was totally out of his league and he didn't want to fuck this up. After getting home he cleaned himself up, changing into something casual but still suitable for a date. A pair of jeans and a plain tee, taking into account the heat, he wanted to wear a jacket but knew it would be impractical. Once he'd finished getting ready he checked his pockets for his keys, phone, and wallet, patting himself down like he'd lost his lighter. Once he was certain he had everything he'd need he grabbed his jacket anyway just in case the temperature dropped, tossing it in the back seat before he headed over to pick up Ivy.
He sent her a quick text when he was nearby just to let her know that he was going to be arriving soon. His heart beating hard in his chest as he rounded the bend and her place came into view.
the words it's a date replayed in her mind over and over. she hadn't felt this giddy over a boy since she was a teenager. as she heard the sound of the car coming around the corner, her street so secluded that sounds echoed, her excitement only grew. his text making her slightly nervous. she took a few seconds before going down her steps to be ready to answer the door. she knelt down to the floor, giving her cat a gentle pet as if to say goodbye for the day as she waited for axel to ring the doorbell.

Tension pulled his muscles tight again, his attention focused on the new information that something was off about this David. How could he have been so blind to it? Let his jealousy take over so strongly that he was oblivious to all else but what was right in front of him, Nina. Then again, she was the most important thing to him in this place, even if she was no longer his to hold such feelings towards. She made that abundantly clear with her petty words and questions aimed to jab at his jealousy. He took it, those jabs, each one straight to the heart. It was wrong because she should have been his, he shouldn't have walked away like he had and it was the most hypocritical thing he had ever done, staring down at her with hurt and jealousy touching his gaze.
Before he could reply to her Nina moved off towards the table but Eli quickly caught up to her, drawing close like he had before and sweeping low enough to where only she could hear him, falling into step beside her as they made their way to the table. "That's exactly why it's wrong Nina, things shouldn't have ended between us... I... shit," he cursed, this wasn't the time nor place to be having any conversation like the one that was trying to get off the tip of his tongue but Elliadore reeled it back, physically stopping himself from moving closer to Nina, to stop her as well and tell her with words just how much he missed her, how much seeing her with someone else destroyed him, how he was wrong and shouldn't have left things the way he had. But then they were at the table and his thoughts raced, hot and bitter against his brain, making him shove a stressed hand through his hair before he took a deep drink from his glass.
None of them needed more to drink, least of all Elliadore, he was there on business after all and this certainly wasn't for pleasure. Once he reached the table the tall, slender man plopped down into a vacant chair, glaring at David for a moment before he moved it around the room, seemingly looking for someone else more important or entertaining but really Eli just couldn't stand to look at the other man when he seemed so excited for this situation. This night just was not going the way he expected and if anything went more awry to his plans then Eli was sure he'd lose his tongue, especially with how much alcohol he'd already consumed.
Suspicion hung in the air when Eli let his gaze land on David again, he was doing his best to not look at Nina once more, knowing he wouldn't be able to look away if he did, the words he'd left hanging in the air, potential for more brimming on the edge of his tongue even now. "So, David, what is it you do for a living?" Eli asked, tone not entirely pleasant but certainly not rude, as close to playing nice as he could get for Nina. The man seemed all too enthused to talk about himself, meeting Eli's gaze which made the man grip his glass tighter and bring it to his lips to gulp down more liquor. Shit, this was going to be more difficult than he thought.
there she sat, the alcohol flowing quickly through her veins as she took yet another shot followed by a sip of her margarita. the room, now spinning slightly just as she expected it would. the words hit her like a ton of bricks — she hadn't heard them quite clearly before but it was becoming ever so clear now. things shouldn't have ended. the words echoed in her impaired mind. he was right, he simply was too late to see it.
david smirked as elliadore spoke again. almost as if he could feel the tension in the room, as if he sensed what was going on between them though he didn't have the slightest clue. "er' i'm in real estate."
"he makes a lot of money selling houses to very rich people." nina blurted out, slightly slurring without warning. oh no. this caused david to chuckle, and to smirk at eli once more. "i suppose you can say that." he continued on, ignoring how drunk nina was actually becoming. nina on the other hand was finally beginning to enjoy herself, the tension slowly leaving her body. why had she been so tense anyway? eli was the one who left her, not the other way around. he should've been the one uncomfortable in all of this, and it was clear that he was. the brunette took another slow slip, giggling quietly against her glass before setting it down.
"tell me, elliadore, what is it that you do for a living?" he knew exactly what he was doing. itching to get under the other man's skin. if this was a fight, he intended to win.
He nodded without hesitation. "It's a date. I'll swing by around 7. That work?" He asked, as he checked his watch, trying to calculate travel time into that. It felt like his heart was about to beat out of his chest.
Never in a million years would he have ever dreamed that he would be going on a date with someone as beautiful as Ivy, let alone someone as successful as her. He tried to push down the feelings of inadequacy that gnawed at his insides. Trying to silence that voice that, oh so often, sounded like his mother.
"it's a date." she mimicked, smiling from ear to ear. normally ivy never allowed herself to be so vulnerable, but something about axel brought it out of her.
the hours went by as ivy got ready for their date, periodically glancing at the clock — wishing time would move quicker. she wasn't even sure what to wear. a designer not knowing what to wear, almost comical. finally she settled on jeans, a black long-sleeved bodysuit and a pair of sandals. simple enough for an arcade, and she felt cute in it. she sat nervously on the edge of her bed, waiting for him. it had been so long since she'd felt this way.
and he's blushing. god romeo, don't be an idiot. " well... i mean, you're like... one of the best friends i've ever had and so i mean... it just... you pop up," he gave a shrug accompanied by a nervous scratch to the back of his neck. " i guess 'cause like, you're up real high on my standard of cool, yanno?? "
a shy smile paints her features and without even realizing it — she's blushing too. romeo was her best friend, her dearest friend. she would do anything for him. "do i?" she raises a brow, her smile fading into more of a smirk. "that means a lot to me. really romeo." she leaned over to give him a gentle nudge on his shoulder along with a giggle. "you know you're pretty high up on my list too." the blonde makes direct eye contact with him, butterflies suddenly filling her stomach. she'd never really felt this way around him before, not until this very moment. "you're pretty much in first place." her voice fades before she breaks the eye contact with him. "so who's the lucky girl anyway?"
" i compare anyone i ever date to you... is-is that weird?? " || @queenxfthedxmned
kimberly stared at romeo, in disbelief for only a moment before a smile crept onto her face. "oh, it depends...why are you doing it?"

hello i've missed you all so much and i really do want to write more often. i'm lacking energy and frankly some muse for a few of my muses right now. but i do want to write!
he was surprised how excited she seemed, her smile infectious. "if you'd like."
he was a little sweaty from work, but he couldn't let this opportunity pass him by. "if you don't mind me swinging my place to change into something less... sweaty." he chuckled softly.
she stared at him for the briefest of moments, giving him a once over as he stood there in his work attire. she didn't mind much...in fact, this was the only way she'd really seen him considering they'd never seen each other outside of him working on her home. the brunette was definitely interested to find out what his style would be like outside of work.
she flashed another smile before nodding along with a laugh. "okay fine. i have to change too, and then you can come back and pick me up when you're ready?" she bit down on her lower lip, tilting her head to the side as she stared into his eyes.
he could get lost for hours in her eyes, he worried sometimes that he'd actually get himself hurt because he was so caught up in his enamoration for her. "no, i never said that. i was surprised that you'd come here to see me on your day off." he admitted with a soft shrug, grateful for the light blanket. he was pretty sure this was the closest they'd ever been together, he could feel the heat radiating off her body, he could almost count the speckles in her eyes. "i never said it tasted good." bo laughed, maybe he did, he'd just been doing it for the last ten or so years. the only time javier ever did something considerate in a softer way for the wranglers, it was making something for them, and then adding a shit ton of whiskey to mask how soft the gesture was.
catalina laughed along with him, still wincing slightly from the bite of the alcohol lingering in the back of her throat. "it's pretty disgusting actually. if i'm honest." she let out another giggle, moving to look into his eyes as her laugh faded into a smile. "i just felt like it's been a while since i've seen you." they've had a rocky relationship in the past, but ever since they had an understanding, it seemed as if she could never take her mind off of him. she took another sip of her hot cocoa, wrinkling her nose to hopefully mask the taste though it didn't work much. "how's it been here anyway..with everyone, everything?" she spoke softly, realizing they'd never just sat down to simply talk.
