u know bowie slept with a 15 yo groupie when he was in his mid 20s right? like a well known underage groupie? meaning he knew her age and didn't care? the Epstein stuff wouldn't have been a surprise and id be shocked if he never went to that island. all this to say, u can like his music but dont idolize this guy. like any man of that period, u will be disappointed
And do you also know that those are only allegations that haven’t been factually proven for over ten years, the whole situation with Lori mattix is a hard one, in many instances, Lori’s story doesn’t add up, like with concert timelines and weather Bowie had shaved eyebrows or not (it sounds silly but that’s actually something to consider) also the biggest thing that everyone seems to overlook is the fact that she had a sexual relationship with Jimmy page at THIRTEEN, TWO YEARS YOUNGER, she claimed that she lost her virginity to jimmy in 1972, but then also said she lost her virginity to Bowie in 1973???, that makes no sense.
Her story with every time she told it altered everytime, and I understand that memory can be foggy fro, when you’re young, but it seemed deliberate, I’d also like to clarify that I’m not saying any of this out of bias, I love Bowie and his work/music, but if these allegations were in fact 100% true I’d not support him at all, because pedophila is absolutely deplorable, and there are plenty of artists I do not support for these type of things, like Iggy pop and jimmy page, they actually have a lot more factual evidence on them and their actions ruin their reputations for me.
I really think you should do more research into this topic like I have, and the reason I “idolize” him is because mate, I’m an excited 17 year old who has found an artist to confide in for happiness, look at any other fan of a musician, especially ones with a rabid fanbase like Taylor swift and BTS (two off the top of my head) or back in the day when the Beatles were first popular, girls even younger than me! We’re almost tearing each other apart to get a glimpse of the Fab Four.
With the whole Epstein thing, there has been nothing in record that he has met Epstein or gone to his island, he’s only mentioned in the flies via press release and biographies, the reason I mentioned Epstein was because in a photo I posted to Bowieblr I thought the man in the middle (who had his face censored) was a young Epstein, because their features looked similar, but no it was in fact his old manager Tony defries, it was a happy accident on my part and I made a second post on Bowieblr to clarify.
And when you say he “didn’t care about her age” I’d like to give you an instance where he did, in Jim hensons 1986 film Labyrinth, David played the villain in the film Jarrett the goblin king, and Sarah the main character, a 16 year old girl who accidentally gives her baby away to the goblin king in a fit of rage, played by Jennifer Connelly were supposed to have a kissing scene in another scene where they danced in a ballroom, but Bowie refused to do it because Jennifer was underage, and he was significantly older.
I’m not here to shut down any victims stories, but the point of the matter is is that this allegation is not fully true, and there hasn’t been any actual proven part of this allegation, because that’s what it is, an alligation.
Another factor is a fact that yes, even though she was under age, she also did consent, and also said that “this was a fond memory”, which may be a bit strange because you’re so young you shouldn’t be doing something like this when you’re so young ,but she did consent and that’s also something important, and I absolutely agree that a 26 year old man should not allegedly be having sex with a 14 year old girl because that’s disgusting and she’s not old enough to be able to have sex , but these are not proven to be true at all yet there is much speculation about this, but no actual hard on cold, hard truth.
So in conclusion, until there is any form of factual evidence that David Bowie did sleep with this 14 year old girl at the age of 26 going to continue to support his work publicly, and continue to enjoy him and the legacy that he left behind, I think that you need to do more research. There is an amazing video on YouTube that I will link in this post that I think you should watch that goes over the allegations and I think you should read many articles and look into what you’re spreading around because it can be very harming. Yes, he is dead and that’s another factor as well. He has been dead for 10 years and cannot publicly speak out about it because these allegations came out after he died which I also think is a bit shady because that means that he doesn’t have the ability to give his own two. Cents.
