We stand for equality, dignity, and survival in places where being queer often means facing rejection, hunger and violence. Our mission is to create safe spaces, empower our community through skills training, education and small livelihood projects like poultry farming and agriculture helping queer refugees rebuild hope and self-reliance. Every month, LGBTQ+ refugees in our community face the heartbreaking reality of going without enough food and essential hygiene supplies. Many lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer people, along with single mothers, struggle to afford basic necessities such as sanitary pads, forcing impossible choices between food, health, and dignity.

At Queer Pride Africa Initiative, we are committed to providing monthly food assistance and sanitary pads to those most in need, but we cannot do it alone.

This year, our dream was to celebrate on 30th June, but we couldn't. We had to postpone because we simply didn't have the funds.
