You already took care of that this morning! Besides, you wouldnât do something that embarrassing and private while people are watching you!
You consider forging new tools for combat against the vile beasts of this realm. Perhaps a pitchfork, combined with the blade of your hatchet to make a makeshift halberd!
But your mother keeps all your peasantry tools locked in a chest inside the house, which is also locked! And she has left for town and will not return for several more hours! You will need to find her to locate the key!
Offscreen, you remove your cap to find three of your belongings you kept stored in there. Inside your cap, you find a drawstring pouch which contains your peasanty lifeâs savings, seven silver and eighteen copper pieces. There is also a crystal pendant you found on the ground last time you visited town, and promptly stashed in your pocket. Youâre not sure why, but it emits an eerie blue glow. Lastly, a piece of paper that has given you good luck ever since the strange old wizard you met in town gave it to you. It is an illustration of a famous knight from a far off land, and you have it in your cap for safe keeping.
The illustration is of a Sir Michael of House Cera. Youâre quite positive youâve never heard of him, or house Cera for that matter. He is famous for battling seven evil beings to rescue the heart of the fair maiden he loved. Regardless, ever since you attained this drawing, youâve been slightly luckier than usual, so it must have some sort of magical properties.
You brandish the Not Even A Novice Sword, which is actually just two branches tied together with some rope, but shhh donât tell anyone. You strike a heroic pose on the stump, practicing for illustrations of your grand visage when you are famous for your valiance and heroism. Nothing will stand in your way! Adventure does indeed await! ...Wait, whatâs that?
You are accosted by an unfriendly looking rodent of unusual size and anatomy! It appears you are about to begin an engagement with this foul creature!
Command?
