My friends call me Lalli :) I am a Hey Arnold artist and I love interacting with people!

Shortaki is my favorite HA! ship and I draw them often. I use procreate to draw and sometimes ibis paint x aswell!!

I am not very active on here but I do come and post occasionally so if I miss viewing your art here, that’s probably why! I am most active on my instagram and tiktok which are both named @quietpataki !

I really dislike how much people hate on Lila in Hey Arnold. I understand that she is supposed to be Helgas “competition” and all, but I don’t think people understand that when it came to Lila, Arnold was most definitely in the wrong a lot of the time, and that comes from someone whose favorite character IS Arnold. I’m not going to lie, when Lila first pursued Arnold after thinking he liked her, she should have heard him out before making him hang out with her, THAT was her fault. But after she made it clear she did not like him, Arnold SHOULD have stopped there. But he kept crossing her boundaries, so much to the point she had to keep telling him multiple times that she does not like him. So much so that even GERALD had to talk to him multiple times because Arnold was being so toxic about Lila. And I think what really showed his toxic obsession was when he left Helga outside at the costume party JUST BECAUSE she stopped dressing like Lila. Poor girl finally tried being herself to him and he completely disregarded her just because she wanted to look like herself. He even hated the idea that Lila liked Arnie because Arnold thought that he was simply better than him. He acted entitled by saying he deserves to be with Lila instead of Helga “because he’s a nice guy”. Lila and Arnold are clearly not meant to be together and the fact that Arnold acted this way is proof, so why is Lila getting all the hate? Lila made it clear she did not like him multiple times, she set boundaries, she gave Helga the part in Romeo and Juliet BECAUSE Helga loved Arnold, Lila rooted for Helga and Arnold because she thought it was cute. And most importantly, she kept Helgas secret from everyone and kept her distance from Arnold. Lila’s just simply a sweet girl and she helped Helga out multiple times. Yeah, her being perfect and having Arnold chase her is a little annoying, but she doesn’t deserve the rep she gets.

i’ve been thinking for a while how i truly feel about the confession scene in tjm (arnold’s confession) without being blinded by nostalgia

i do still think it’s overall solid-ish when you apply the earlier scenes to it of arnold and helga looking at each other while hanging off the bridge, and the scene where she gives him the locket

but i always felt like it was sort of … incomplete? i feel like their talk could’ve been longer before the kiss, arnold could’ve opened up a bit about how he feels since he acknowledged helga loved him but didn’t really say anything about his own perspective. i would’ve liked to hear him continue off of him saying helga’s always been angry and mean; maybe going into how he always knew deep down there was more to her like he constantly talks about in the show, it would’ve been the perfect time to reference that

the kiss itself is still cute to me but i’m nit picky anyways and kiiiinda wish helga was more stiff and flustered but eventually leans into it …

but overall i’m not extremely bothered by the confession anyways , i just think it could’ve had more to it >_>

I love seeing how different people perceive Helga in different ways, it kind of reminds me of real life, despite the fact that everyone sees the same version of Helga on the screen. For instance, I personally perceive her more on the softer, passionate, vulnerable side while also having that side acknowledgment of her bold attitude on the outside. But on the other hand, I see other people perceive her as more brute and aggressive naturally. I don’t think any way is wrong, I just find it so fascinating that depending on who you are, you see a different version of her. That also tells me just how complex of a character she is. :)
