BECK.
it’s not like beck didn’t weigh up the pros and cons of leaving.. pros: they’d have the most beautiful wife in the world.. the sweetest woman whom promised to stay by them so matter what. beck would be this whole new person. they’d look at life differently.. especially with a woman like that loving them.. of all the monsters in the world.. it was them that she loved. cons: beck would watch her struggle, watch her try to come to terms with what beck done. that constant fear that someone else in that criminal world would find out about her.. would try and hurt her to get to beck. and that thought of that sent beck well on their, even though they waited outside their church, they eventually went on their way, unnoticed.
but here she was.. and beck couldn’t help but feel guilty.. one of the most hardened criminals. yet they were here longing.. grieving almost for their lost love. but so matter how much beck thought.. they wouldn’t have done anything different. there was only so many nightmares they could manage. only so many times that they could watch her getting shot.. getting abducted in their sleep. beck just couldn’t risk her getting hurt.. so they took the blow and they hurt her instead. it would hurt far less then what someone else would do to her.. especially if they were trying to hurt beck. watching her stand, beck didn’t know what they expected.. an inked hand slowly moved, reaching so slightly to hold her.. if that’s what she wanted. what she needed. but hearing those words.. it felt like a kick in the gut.. a punch to the heart. beck even found themselves distancing from her so slightly, icy blue eyes looking anywhere but at her, lips ajar.. waiting for some kind of response to come. but nothing did. i do know you.. i do, my love.. i know the tiniest little things. what makes you smile.. what way you like to be held when you sleep. i know you — beck wanted to insist.. but they couldn’t. but they dared to look her in the eye. even distraught.. even brimmed with tears.. those eyes were still so beautiful. their heart continued to break at her words.. she knew how to tear them down. maybe that’s why they were still here.. they couldn’t get enough ..even if it broke them to tiny little pieces. ❛ fifteen minutes.. ❜ beck repeated, proving that they understood. even if fifteen minutes was nothing compared to the time they’d spent together in the past.
even despite their job.. their ruthless ways with people.. beck always done their absolute best.. to make sure audrey was living in the most normal conditions while she was with them.. no matter if that was leaving someone else in charge so that they could bring her on a date.. no matter if it was them coming home early to have dinner with her.. ask her how her day was. beck just.. really fucking loved her. beck still fucking loved her. watching her.. those doe eyes staring at them.. it broke their heart. ❛ okay.. ❜ they whispered. following behind, they held the door. the least they could do. ❛ come on.. we’ll.. go to my room.. ❜ they insisted. ❛ i just want to talk.. ❜ they promised.
HANDS FIND USE, by digging into her pockets. palms press flatly within the backs of her jeans pockets. audreys head is bowed as she walks free from the suffocating coffee shop. “ thank you. ” passes her lips quietly as beck holds the door for them. she wasn’t a savage--- even beck deserved her manners. mind shuffles over countless questions as he walks stiffly, trailing at becks side as they led the pair to her room. she doesn’t bother to look up, really. she’s too consumed in thought. in the medical field, she’d been taught to contain emotions. restraint was key. many hardships could be placed before you, and had been for audrey. there were times beck was so busted up and she wished to plead to them to stop. but those words never left audreys lips. no matter how much she wished to pull beck away from all the chaos and destruction... she stood at their side. hand in hand. supporting. loving. doing the best she could to be the woman they needed. she saw something beautiful in beck. a fire within them she’d never dare to contain, but rather, stare in awe. their journey to the room is quiet, heavy, the air around them thick and coated with unsolved emotional damage. beck didn’t scare her... but the talk bit? that terrified her. her stomach twisted and turned in response as the person she wanted for the rest of forever walked so close to her side. in another time, another life, they’d be hand in hand as they walked. audrey always aware of their surroundings. of the danger that followed beck. but nonetheless--- ready to take a bullet for them. heels click softly against the pavement as they near the hotel, audrey slinking further into her jacket as she neared her unavoidable demise. upon entering their room audrey finally lifts her head. she peers around the room, their scent faintly dancing around her, she savors the scent. she takes a few steps and pauses before a large window, back to them. she’s quiet for a few more beats before spinning around to face them. there’s frustration in her gaze. “ WHY? ” audrey begins, hands removing from her pockets and falling to her side. beck was only a few inches taller, but suddenly audrey feels much smaller despite the anger behind her words. “ why, BECK? ” fists clench at her side. “ why would you do that to us? ” she’s selfless, but knows she deserves to be selfish. “ to ME. ” audrey begins to tremble as anger builds. fueling her. pushing her forward. “ i want to know what i did so wrong. i want you to look me in the eye and tell me. ” *

CHARLOTTE.
Having opened the door for the other woman, she could tell that she was confused. Charlotte knew a lot of people had either thought she herself was an escort or just a worker here. “Yes, that’s me, I’m Charlotte. You said you got a notification? I don’t think I ordered anything?” Looking down at her wrist, she noticed the silver bracelet. “Someone just must really like me and think I deserve a gorgeous woman like you.”
“ OH. ” a blush burns her cheeks at her mistake. why couldn’t she just trust the system? swallowing harshly she stuffs the phone into her purse and offers a grin of apology. “ i apologize charlotte. my mistake. ” a slight nod in response before audrey is laughing warmly. “ thank you. you’re too kind. ” and so audrey slips into her role. aura is youthful on audrey despite her years. “ the payments been transferred--- everythings set. may i come in charlotte? ” *
BECK.
beck, although they may have seemed unsentimental.. they too had this soft spot.. this hole in their heart that showed itself the day that they left the woman alone. they’d taken a vile of her perfume.. kept the wedding rings, audrey’s hanging by a chain around their neck. it was dumb.. it was stupid.. so any woman beck gave themselves to insisted. but beck couldn’t be without it. beck could just imagine her.. how she looked.. the dress.. no doubt she looked like an angel. it was for her own good. that was something beck would bring to their grave with them. watching her draw her hands away, beck gave a small sigh. they didn’t blame her not wanting to be close.. on any level. listening to her insisting that she had plans, beck watch her, shaking their head. ❛ what’re you doing here, aud’..? ❜ they asked. they parted their lips to speak.. to say something.. anything.. apologise.. but years of their 4am thoughts lost on their lips.. stuck. ❛ you’re not looking at me.. i know you’re lying.. ❜ they insisted. maybe they knew her too well. ❛ audrey.. please.. ❜ a beg. something that never passed their lips.. not for anybody.. besides the woman before them. ❛ just.. come with me for a while.. talk to me.. ❜
NICKNAME STRIKES A FAMILIAR CORD. she hadn’t heard it in so long it had left like--- lifetimes ago. her eyes are on her hands. wishing her gaze could penetrate the silver band and melt it away. she wanted to be rid on the shackle that bound her to a shameful title. beck’s voice drifts so melodically through her ears. she’s missed it, missed them. words from beck had only been a blessing in her dreams. they were still so vivid in her mind. she cared for them, still. though all she wished was to produce anger. but audrey doesn’t know such anger. such violence. ( as beck did ) and that.... made them beautiful. tone is recognized and audrey’s heart aches. so many scenarios had been played in her head of this day if it came. how she’d be strong. scream. shout. make them feel a minuscule of pain that audrey had. but alas, audrey is getting to her feet. closeness that she wishes to shrink away from betrays her. body gravitates to theirs. she looks away from them her gaze locked onto something in the distance. there’s tears in her eyes. they’re glassy, reflecting the dimming sunset light that flilled the shop. “ you don’t know me anymore. ” audrey offers cooly. a low blow ( and a lie ). the idea of her happy ending standing before her is SHATTERING. especially when they plead to her. but audrey is weak for them. she knows it. they know it... “ fifteen minutes, ” gaze turns to them finally. and for the first time, gaze meets theirs. icy blues stare back at her, and oh, how she wished to get lost in them. but she wills herself to be strong. something that wasn’t by any means a easy task for her. swallowing, forehead creases with her lines of distress. “ that’s all. ” if anyone had taught her to be strong--- it was beck. beck was fearless in audreys eyes. brave. inspiring. ( everything she wasn’t, really ) and she loved them. she loved them wildly and passionately. features soften slightly as she stands before them, ready to crumble, but visibly swallowing again. “ okay? ” the single word is spoken much softer. translation: thats the whole span of time she’d be able to handle before breaking. with a dip of her head and a soft sigh she’s heading to the door of the shop. forcing her mind to quiet. *
FAYE.
Faye let out a soft giggle at the older woman’s reaction, her eyes somewhat looking her over, finding herself drawn to her warm type of energy. “Yeah, I don’t think it matters what it could look like, I honestly have no idea what I was thinking.”
“ WELL ITS NOT ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT, ” she smiles, dimples appearing. she’s casual in her conversing. “ stimulants, even marijuana leave you impaired. so totally excusable. ” audrey remains friendly, genuine towards the younger girl. “ be careful, wouldn’t want any online purchase mishaps because you’re high. ” she grins now. *
REMY.
‘I try to be kind.” she said with a laugh. it was really cool to have a conversation with this woman it did not matter if she is a guest stuff or even an escort Remy saw everyone as an equal. “thank you yeah it is quiet good enjoy your freedom” she said. “that is not rude but yeah i’m a guest here for work and play.”
“ A ENDEARING QUALITY, REALLY. I DO TOO. ITS HARD SOMETIMES. ” a soft scoff escapes her lips at the comment. her smile brightens at her kindness. “ oh, wow. that’s awesome. what do you do? also, if you want to... i don’t really... i’m not good a hints. so if you want to go back to your place--- you have to let me know. like just say it. ” a awakward laugh follows. “ worlds worst escort, i know. i swear i need a medal. ” *
RAYMOND.
“Bar is always a good idea.” Raymond agreed with a grin. He liked a woman who knew when to drink. “Sounds like you know a thing or two, aye?”
“ OUI, CAN’T GO WRONG WITH A GOOD DRINK. ” audrey replies with a earnest smile of welcome ( to his company ). “ sometimes i like to think i do, other times, well... ” a shrug is given. “ i’ve been here a year now i think. and i’m still learning everyday. as cliche as it is. people are so interesting. ” fades were so easily acted out but behind closed doors, audrey had learned the monsters came out. “ i do know where the bar is, i can show you? ” *
“ I JUST THOUGHT THERE MIGHT OF BEEN A MIX-UP. ” she explains, though her grin is vibrant. she stands at her doorway, small purse over her shoulder. she leaves out that she thinks there is a mix-up because the girl looks so youthful. so young. surely she wasn’t a guest... “ i got the notification though, and room number. i’m just uh, i’m looking for charlotte? ” she lifts her phone up to the girl, as if the girl could offer some kind of confirmation that she was at the wrong door. audrey is flustered, pink cheeked and ever-so friendly. she just didn’t like doing her job wrong. @charlotte-drayton *
SARIA.
“Um – e-excuse me? Would you mind helpin’ me out? I’m all sorts of turned around and… well, I’m just looking for a place to pick up some dang clothes.”
“ I MAY NOT BE THE BEST PERSON TO ASK. ” she begins with a laugh. though, she understands. “ my fashion sense isn’t the best. ” she explains gesturing to her rather simple floral dress. most of her money went towards paying off her shrinking debt. but this meant she saw little invest in top noch clothes like some of the escorts here. “ but um, yeah. i’m headed that way. i’ll take you to one of the shops? ” *
REMY.
Remy friendless is genuine she just wants to make new friends being a new place and all she smiles then looks back at her. ”you’re welcome thank you very much i hardly doubt that.” she could not help but laugh at her joke this girl is funny so she is glad for her company. “I’m doing great and how are you this fine evening?”
“ YOU’RE TOO KIND. ” she gushes to the brunette. smile is warm, welcoming. her laugh adds to her own ease and visibly audreys shoulders slump. at least she was a kind guest or staff member. too often audrey had found herself treated as an unequal due to the bracelet she wore claiming what she was: an escort. “ that’s lovely to hear. oh, you know, it’s a quiet evening. no bookings so i’m enjoying my freedom. ” audrey converses softly. “ i don’t mean to be rude, but i was wondering if you’re just here for a visit of work here...? ” *
Lost in thought, Fallon circled her index finger along the rim of her wine glass. Empty, sad eyes were glued to the ruby red liquid as she wondered how much alcohol she needed to put in her system in order to n u m b the pain away, and disassociate from her feelings. Even just for a couple of hours, she needed to stop thinking. The glass emitted a crystal clear ringing with every revolution of her finger while she continued to stare off into the distance.
HER COMPANY’S EXPRESSION WAS ONE SHE KNEW WELL. for she too, wore it often. “ hey... ” silence between the pair is broken. palm reaches out and she gently grasps her shoulder. “ i saw you um, hanging out here. do you want to get away for awhile? i could show you around? i don’t know where everything is even though i’ve been here a little bit... ” her laugh is soft, eyes are warm, unmistakably kind. she removes her hand, giving a slight smile of promise of something better. *
RAYMOND.
“What can someone like me do to get in trouble in a place like this, aye?”
“ I DON’T KNOW WHY YOU’D WANT TO GET IN TROUBLE. ” she replies, brow lifting in question to his motives. “ but i guess piss off one of the head hanchos. that would be a good place to start. or um, the bar. ” audrey gives a soft chuckle. *
FAYE.
Looking at her phone, she snickered a bit as she browsed through her online shopping cart. Biting her lower lip, she let out a small laugh before looking up. “High Faye has such a strange sense of style,” showing the person her phone, the dress practically looks like a triangle with an odd pattern on it. “I probably thought that it looked like pizza, so placed it in my cart.”
EYES FOCUS ON THE PHONE SCREEN. she gives a laugh of her own, head dipping with a small shake of her head. “ i’d have to agree with you. ” she muses. “ i mean, it could become a DIY pizza costume for halloween? ” *
