Rachel looked up at the blonde when she spoke; she had been idly scrolling on her phone and hadn’t noticed her sit down. “I have a feeling they’ve had a few more drinks than I have.” Rachel mused, lifting a red solo cup clad hand towards the various gyrating teens. “Besides, I consider myself a singer first, dancer second. I did my part tonight.” She smiled widely at her recent duet partner. “And so did you. We killed it out there. Truly. Whatever cold you had is definitely out of your system because your voice sounds better than ever.”
Quinn let out a soft chuckle, nodding every so slightly at Rachel’s comment about everyone else having consumed more alcohol than her. “Yeah - you’re probably right there.” The blonde adjusted her seating position and crossing her legs. Quinn couldn’t help but be a little envious of the girls out on the dance floor, doing nothing but enjoying their night - so carefree. “What was that?” The girl had been a little preoccupied. “Oh, I - Thanks Rach, a great duet partner always helps.”
Quinn sighed softly as her eyes scanned the room, looking for any potential trouble makers - every party had them and she suspected this one would be no different. Watching over a group of rowdy teenagers was becoming very tiring for the blond, so she decided to take a load off - even if it was just for a moment, taking a seat next to someone. “Why aren’t you out there dancing with everybody else?” She asked the familiar face, her eyes gesturing towards the area everybody had congregated and turned into a dance floor.

I have a great song. Its called Bad Idea from Waitress the musical. It’s been on a loop in my head for days. I’ll send you the sheet music!
I think I’ve heard it once or twice but I’ll get myself more acquainted before our performance. That would be great, thank you.
420bretty:
Oh, sorry. I’m a little spacey right now, heh. I know how I’ll make it up to you! Find me at Blaine’s, I’ll roll you a fat one.
No, that’s perfectly okay. If you’re going to smoke at Blaine’s - please make sure you do it outside and dispose of your rubbish respectfully.
racheltonywinnerberry:
Well it just so happens I have already arranged for a stage so we’re all set to go. I’m so excited! What should we sing?! Should we change up a traditionally male and female duet? Or maybe a mash-up?
Of course you did, I am not at all surprised. I’m leaning more towards duet I think, you can pick the song - as long as it’s nothing too broadway classic.
420bretty:
Heh, that’s funny— hey, you’re giving me the finger. No need man, no need.
I am certainly not giving you the finger, Brett.
racheltonywinnerberry:
Well as soon as you are feeling up to it, I say we work on some options. Because I think your voice sounds lovely with mine.

That sounds like a great idea, I’m sure Blaine has some kind of elaborate stage set up so maybe we could give it a whirl tonight at the party.

I’m glad to hear you’ll be there, Quinn! And I’ve got all Sunday to clean up, so as long as people don’t actually start breaking things, I’ll be fine. Why do you think it will end up being a disaster?
Teenagers, alcohol and an unsupervised household sounds like a disaster. I don’t plan on drinking so I’ll try and keep an eye on things if you like. Or if anyone needs a designated driver.
rosaliexfabray:
Never, why do you think I never make oatmeal raisin cookies? Who ruined good cookies like that. You know somehow we would be to blame. Dad is the one who invades our privacy and we’re the villians.
I don’t know about that. You gotta see this little girl. She’s got curly hair and these big blue eyes I think I might have found the cutest girl in existence.
I’m not quite sure who thought oatmeal raisin cookies were going to be a good idea, but they got it very wrong. We certainly would be, it wouldn’t be our father if he wasn’t looking to shift the blame onto someone else at every opportunity.
I’ll have to take your word for it, unless she’ll be at your next meet and then I can see for myself. Sorry I couldn’t make it today, Rosalie - good luck, you’ll do amazing.
rosaliexfabray:
Raisins are gross so trust me I avoid those at all costs. Maybe I’ll make black bean brownies next? They’re really good. Pinterest is my heaven and I really don’t know what I would do if it didn’t exist. One day Dad’s gonna see something he doesn’t want me to see when he comes barging into our rooms and it will be his fault.
They’re the cutest too. We got them in their leotards today at the beginning, and they’re bright pink and they’re going to have their hair in white bows. Like please tell me I was that cute when I was younger.
Glad we’re on the same page, I’d hate to bite into one of your little creations and be startled by a raisin. That sounds appealing, maybe it’s the brownie aspect of it. I spend way too much of my time on Pinterest, more than I’d like to admit actually. He’ll only have himself to blame if that is the case.
Goodness, that does actually sound quite sweet. Especially the little white bows, simply adorable. You’re a Fabray, Rosalie - of course you were that cute, if anything you were cuter.
420bretty:
Anyone know what’s for lunch today?
Considering I’m not a lunch lady, no.
racheltonywinnerberry:
Okay! I think you’re absolutely right. Girl/Boy duets are overdone and have Bennett heard a thousand times. Let’s switch it up! Anything I can do to help with your cold in the mean time?

They certainly are, and I’ve always thought your voice sounded wonderful meshed alongside another female. Anything to give us an edge at Sectionals, I want us to end our senior year with a Nationals trophy. I should be okay, thanks Rachel. I’ll let you know if I do need anything.
theandersonsblaine:
I just heard that my parents will be out of town this weekend, so I’ll be throwing a party this Saturday! I’ll make sure there’s enough drinks and food (and yes, that includes alcohol), but please feel free to bring some as well.
Sounds like a recipe for disaster - or at least a trashed household. But, since I don’t have any other plans, I’ll be there.
racheltonywinnerberry:
Well I’ve already won her over so there’s no need for that. She and Celeste have been friends forever, she’s nothing like him thankfully. The lessons are going well though so I have no doubt I’ll get her into Glee club by the end of the month. What about you? Surely you wont be sick forever.

That certainly is a relief, I think she may actually be friends with Rosalie but I’m not entirely sure. Either way, it’d be nice to have a fresh voice in Glee. I’ll let you know when I’m feeling up for it and we can go from there. A duet sung by two girls might give us an edge for sectionals.
