basically, for while she had no friends so she threw herself even more into being the best with academics which caused people to not want to be her friend even more

in her second year she was having a breakdown when they came across her and like the angels they are, knew she could not be left on her own
so they basically adopted her like a puppy and they’ve been friends ever since
