from The Priory of the Orange Tree–the setting, i realized now as i was looking back through the book to pull the quote (p. 309, btw) that this scene actually takes place in the dark, but while i was reading i was really struck by the tidal cave part of the setting and i love how light plays in those kinds of areas so!! anyways tané is my favorite character and i could probably read a novel on nayimathun alone so :’) had to draw ‘em
