Le monde est à nous
Nosferatu ; 2024
Loved this one, the biggest problem with this film is the audience that takes everything literally and ignores the symbolism surrounding the narrative. Nosferatu is a critique of the repression of female sexual desire, as if it were a plague (as the doctor and Harding called it) or something distant from God, especially at the time in which the film takes place. The lack of understanding regarding Ellen's desires (from a very young age) and the aversion to what she felt, caused the character to repress that desire she felt, until it "materialized" (Count Orlok) and consumed her completely.
