After reading Scarecrow Year One, i NEED to talk about it, as far i saw most people focus more on his Grandma's abuse and the bullying. But what got me was, everyone moved on. Both his parents remarried and had children, they both could get a life without him (that doesn't mean it's good, i mean look at his mom's dead beat husband). He as the baby, was the only one not responsible but he's the one that paid the price with his whole life. He has three siblings yet no parents, more so, the siblings got to have parents. He's the only one who couldn't move on, and as far as i noticed his parents did not remember him AT ALL, which just adds to the whole situation.

The real tragedy is, his parents got to move on from their mistake and he, being the mistake, was left behind and forgotten.

Jonathan is an eternal friend to those weird girls that actively seek out strange, creepy things. Girls that read and listen to scary stories at midnight in the pitch black, girls that try and talk to ghosts, girls that try to summon things. He finds it funny that society thinks girls are these delicate little things when he’s seen 12 and 13 year olds in the woods near his hideout actively try to summon a demon at midnight. He never really liked children very much because of his own childhood, but there’s something about it that he finds endearing and almost makes him feel paternal……well as close as paternal would be for someone like him.

Scarecrow being so back and forth from terrifying horrible monster to just a silly guy in a floppy hat depending on the version is so funny. Cuz either that means October is coming and a bomb goes off in the city so he can break into a laboratory to chemical bomb the city

Or a bomb goes off and their breaking into a Halloween goods warehouse to get the good stuff before it hits shelves it's a toss up between the two
