Two years later and it still breaks me to think about it. I wonder if there will ever come a time when it doesn't. I've accepted what happened but it shaped the woman I've become, sometimes I'm proud of her and her strength to keep on going no matter what and sometimes I wonder if she will ever fully recover. The funny thing about trauma is that you don't see the effects until you're faced with that vulnerable feeling again and that wall you've built grows a little taller. I do wonder if I'll ever let anyone in the way I let you.
