My first thought about Radical, was that it was a comic book publisher that only wanted cool-looking books which they could sell to Hollywood. But, books like The Last Days of American crime and FVZA itself, showed me that they also take care of the writers they hire. So, in FVZA I enjoyed an amazingly realistic art, drawn by Roy Allan Martinez and Wayne Nichols, and then painted by Kinsun Loh and Jerry Choo (the final art is astonishing). Also, David Hine writes a compelling history, based on the concepts by Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson. In overall, a fine book about vampires and zombies, full of family & love issues.

Director Signed Up For Sam Worthington Movie ‘Last Days Of American Crime’

According to Deadline.com, Anthony Mandler has signed up for ‘Last Days Of American Crime’, which will be his movie directing debut. He is well-known for directing videos and commercials with some of the world’s top names in music and sport.

Scripted by Karl Gajdusek, ‘The Last Days Of American Crime’ is set in the near future. America decides to respond to a second major terrorism attack by developing a technology that eliminates the impulse to commit crime of any kind.

Synopsis (via RadicalPublishing.com):

In the not-too-distant future, the U.S. government is releasing its final weapon to end terrorism and crime. This secret broadcast is a signal that will make it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. To keep this from the public, the government creates a distraction, installing a new currency system using digital charge cards.

Enter: Graham Bricke, a career criminal never quite able to hit the big score. As his final crime, Graham intends to steal one of the new digital charging stations, leave the country and live off unlimited funds for the rest of his life.

However, before his plan comes to fruition, the media leaks news of the government’s anti-crime signal one week before it goes live. With this new information and only a few days left before the broadcast, Graham and his team turn the heist of the century into the last crime in American history.
