A man of Bangladeshi origins, possibly in his fifties, does a final sweep of the outdoor seating areas early in the morning, before Caffè Gilli opens to the public for the day. First opened back in the mid 1700s, the restaurant which serves some of the best choices of pastries, cakes and coffee in the town, is believe to be the oldest running cafe in all of Florence.

Apparently I won an award for something and they called out my name at the beginning of the ceremony but we showed up late since I knew there was no reason for me to win anything and now everyone was congratulating me and I was so confused
