"You all comfy down there?"
Ragatha snickered. "Mhm." She was laid beside Kinger in his pillow fort. She could still feel the damp tear stains on her pillow from where she had just had a good, long cry. Kinger, after helping her through her sadness, had suggested that they try to cheer her up a bit to distract from the pain. This had not been the first time he had suggested this to her since he had found out that this helped her relax. Ragatha, of course, did not expect this from him, nor did she feel like she was entitled to such affection, but he kept offering like it made him happy to see her happy.
Kinger began to crack his knuckles one fist at a time, the sight of which caused Ragatha to titter nervously.
"What?" Kinger laughed. "I haven't even done anything yet."
"Juhust do it alreheheady."
"Alright now, let's see..." Kinger said speculatively, as if he were plotting something. "Let's start... here." His hands hovered over her right side and began to wiggle.
Ragatha flinched away with a small gasp.
Kinger drew his hands back slightly. "Or maybe... here." His hands now floated above her left side, and Ragatha twitched the other way and giggled silently. "No, no, maybe... here?" He puzzled as his hands suddenly flew up to ghost around her neck.
The ragdoll hadn't expected such a drastic leap, and squealed in fright and hid her smiling face in her hands.
How embarrassing, she thought. He hadn't even touched her yet.
"Yohohou're mehehessing with mehehe!" she accused.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Kinger lied, but his cheeky smirk was hard to miss. "This doesn't make you nervous, does it?" Even as he said this, his fingers were still hovering around her head, ready to dive in and make her shriek.
"Awww" He gushed sympathetically. "Does it make you all giggly when I hold my hands above you, and wiggle my fingers, and talk about where I'm going to tickle you?"
Ragatha wanted to seep into the floor.
"Is it because you know I'm going to reach all of your tickle spots and make you smile? Is that it?" Kinger cooed.
Now Ragatha wanted to burst into flames.
"PLEHEASE JUST TI-TICKLE ME ALREADY!" she cried, her face flushing bright red. She couldn't even believe what she was saying, but she had never been one to handle teases with the most dignity and grace.
Through the gaps between her fingers, she saw Kinger's hands inch a little closer.
"You sure? It's reeeaalllly gonna tickle." Kinger knew he was being a complete ass, but he knew Ragatha wasn't really aggravated, and there were some moments his cuteness aggression just couldn't be contained. She was just so precious cuddled up there all giggly!
"Yehehes!" Ragatha whined, like she knew she would regret giving that answer very soon.
Kinger laughed. "Okay, okay, I'll stop teasing." He took his hands away from her neck and repositioned them back at her waist. "One for the money...!"
"...two for the show...!"
"...three to make ready...!"
Needless to say, Ragatha's sorrows were long forgotten by the time Kinger had finished tickling every last laugh out of her.
