Microsoft will soon integrate Spotify in Windows 11 as part of Focus Sessions feature to help users complete tasks while listing to their favourite music. The development was shared by the Chief Product Officer Panos Panay on Twitter with a short video clip showing how the feature works. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said it may come out with a model of central bank digital currency (CBDC) as early as the end of this year. Speaking at the post monetary policy press meet, deputy governor, T Rabi Sankar said, “We are internally evaluating issues such as the scope, technology, distribution mechanism, and validation mechanism, etc." “These are extremely involving technology and business choices that one has to make. So, it will be difficult to pin a date on it (central bank digital currency) but we should be able to come out with a model in the near future, probably by the end of this year," he said. . . . WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature called 'View Once, that deletes photos and videos from the chat after theyve been opened, giving users even more control over their privacy. For added privacy, you can now send photos and videos that disappear from your WhatsApp chat after the recipient has opened them once. "Media will not be saved to the recipient's Photos or Gallery. In a bid to make Dubai one of the safest cities in the world, authorities have launched a fresh initiative to police the city using sophisticated drones. They say deploying these quadcopters will help curb incidents of crime by reducing the emergency response time of the police. During a visit to the Dubai Police Headquarters, Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the “Drone Box” platform. This initiative, he said, will help police respond within one minute — instead of 4 minutes 40 seconds taken earlier — to criminal and traffic reports anywhere in Dubai. The quadcopters, supplied by Israeli company Airobotics, will launch officially during the Expo 2020 event in October this year. PayPal Holdings Inc (PYPL.O) is partnering with non-profit organisation the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to investigate how extremist and hate movements in the United States take advantage of financial platforms to fund their criminal activities. The initiative will be led through ADL's Center on Extremism, and will focus on uncovering and disrupting the financial flows supporting white supremacist and anti-government organizations.
