walking back into the house, backpack swung over her shoulders, raia made her way to room #8 - a place that had become somewhat of a haven, as the name would have it. a few weeks ago, sheâd received a call from her mother; a call she hadnât wanted to answer, but her mom never called, so sheâd answered it. it was about her father - heâd been incarcerated for what seemed like the millionth time in her life, but this time was different. this time, heâd killed the two men that had assaulted her before sheâd fled for SH, and sheâd been called to stand trial to defend him. it wasnât something she wanted to get into now, or ever, really. everything had come back up - all the feelings sheâd had that night. but damn, was she glad to be back here.
looking up towards the doorway as she sensed the body that had turned the corner, she gave a sweet smile. âhey.â
frick frack or fuck: kylie, kennedy or raia
âyep - fuck myself. always.â
okay but like, hypothetically... never has to actually happen, who of the three would you fuck?
âyou are ridiculous, anon. like i said - wait and see. good things come to those who wait. i can go on and on with the sayings. point is - iâm not telling you.â she teased.
croy-roeulx:
âUm⌠Are youâŚâ Em was slightly taken aback by the girlâs aggressive outburst. She was just waiting to get into therapy, and she hadnât meant to get in anyoneâs way. âAre you okay? Was it that bad?â
spinning around at the girlâs words, she recognized the french blonde from the other day when theyâd first met. drawing in a deep breath in an attempt to calm down, she brought her gaze back up to the other girl. âsorry, uh - emmanuelle, was it? iâm just... just a bad day.â she replied. âdepends if you like therapy, i guess. being asked to spill all the secrets you havenât even had time to process for yourself. it can be a lot.â

After grabbing a quick snack in the kitchen, Claire was just heading back to the room she had staked out as a practice room for her to play her violin in all day. She found that playing was the only thing that took her mind off of the situation with Elijah; which meant she was going to do it until it no longer worked. As she headed down the hall, her usual bounce in her step, she might have known to step out of the way had she not had her headphones in and actually heard the voices on the other side of the door. But seeing as she didnât hear them, she didnât anticipate the door opening, nor the girl coming through it and bumping right into her in her obvious haste. She did manage to hear the girl say she was sorry though, and she could tell pretty immediately from the look on her face that she was upset about something, and as she glanced over at the door she emerged from and recognized it as being the therapy room, she was able to put the pieces together pretty easily. Fully aware that she might be overstepping her boundaries, but deciding to, as she often did, throw caution to the wind, she grabbed a hold of the girlâs hand, entwining their fingers and giving her hand a gentle squeeze, while her other hand reached up and tugged her headphones from her ears. âCome with meâ She said softly, inclining her head in the direction of her makeshift rehearsal room. âThey wonât be able to find you where weâre going. And even if they do, Iâll tell them to bugger offâ
before she knew what was happening or could make a beeline for the front door, she felt her hand pulled into the comfort of someone elseâs, and she spun around to see who had just grabbed her. quickly noting that the other girl was a stranger, probably one of the new girls who had just moved in, she willed the anger out of her eyes but was met with anxiety instead. what could she do? it was either escape the house and deal with the anxiety alone, or go wherever this girl was leading her. something told her she meant well, so she decided on the latter. allowing herself to be led and giving the tiniest and most pathetic of chuckles to her words, she swallowed hard. âthanks. i just need a break, i think.â
kennedy-monroe:
Kennedy smiled and walked over to Alejaâs car and opened it. âAleja lent me his car for the day as long as I brought it back with a full tank.â She let the other girl know
recognizing the car sheâd gone for ice cream with aleja in a few days prior, she slid into the passenger seat. âsweet. feels so nice to leave the house again.â
parkerorwell:
Parker chuckled at her retort to his attempted joke, appreciative that, for the second time since this conversation between the two of them started, she was far more understanding than he would expect someone to be, given the information heâd shared. He indeed did raise his eyebrows a bit in surprise when she revealed that she wasnât particularly shook by the knowledge that people had tried to kill him, making him wonder for a moment what she could possibly have experienced in her own life for murder attempts seemed like small fish in her pond. But he wasnât about to pry, not wanting to potentially mess up his chance to finally tell someone his story. Sighing, half out of how heavy what he was about to say was weighing on him, and half out of indicating that he was relenting to what she was asking of him, Parker adjusted himself on the couch before leaning forward and clearing his throat. âOkay. Well, it uh, it happened about a month ago. I had just finished one of my regular gigs at this bar  called Leeks in Midtown Manhattan. It was late. Probably right around one in the morning. When I got outside, I found that there was already a cab waiting for me, which, at the time, I thought was pretty lucky.. ButâŚbut when I got in, I didnâtâŚhahaâŚI uh, I didnât even get the chance to give them my address⌠before I was being gagged andâŚand tied upâ He paused for a moment as the memory of the situation seemed to flash before his eyes, his breathing becoming a bit shallowed at the memory alone. Laughing a humorless and breathy laugh, he shook his head, before looking at Raia apologetically. âIâm sorry. Iâve uh, Iâve never actuallyâŚtold anyone this story before. ItâsâŚI want to do this. I really do. Itâs justâŚitâs harder than I expected it to be. And I was actually prepared for it to be pretty hardâ He said with a nod. âI uhâŚif you donât want to..sit here..listening to me try to struggle through this..IâŚI wonât hold it against you. Youâve already been a lot more understanding than I ever could have expectedâ
she noted the deep sigh he released before delving into his story, and she knew that this wouldnât be easy for him. could she blame him? if she had to explain hers back, or to anyone for that matter, sheâd probably have to take fifteen. propping herself up on the couch, elbows resting on her crossed knees, she prepared herself to listen. what he had to say, however, rang eerily familiar in her eyes - getting into a car to find that he wasnât the only one in there, being attacked from behind. it just rang too true to her own story, and she hitched a breath, willing her gaze to stay strong in his as he obviously struggled to spill. lost for words for a second, she reached over and placed a comforting hand on his. âI told you, park - i can shoulder it. but if itâs too much, we donât have to go there today. totally up to you; itâs not like weâve got lives to get to later, so iâve got all day.â
forstandforemost:
âOlder guys, huh?â he winked at her teasingly, âWell, that one sounds like he was better left in the past anyway, so I say good riddance, Chris.â He chuckled, resting back on the couch again now that his big dramatic story had been told. âTeenage Vic was⌠well, he was one of those middle ground people, I guess. You know, I was kind of a book nerd then as well, before Harry Potter made reading cool, so that detracted from my social status. But I also played football and got invited to parties. It was never really all that dramatic. I somehow imagine that teenage Raia had more going on.â
âyeah, i tried older back home. until i realized guys your age might not be 9 anymore - more like 13. but iâm turning a new leaf here, so don't get any ideas.â she teased with a wink back, although that wasnât necessarily truthful. sheâd go for vic based on looks alone, and the fact that they could banter like this so easily. in fact, chicago raia would have jumped him ages ago. but she didnât want to get into anything right now, and she knew he was pretty much taken, so she wouldnât even go for it if she wanted to. mirroring him and resting backwards, she crossed her arms. âah, see - by the time i reached that age my love for harry potter didnât detract from mine at all. it gave me the whole sexy and smart thing - some people say i did it on purpose.â she said with a teasing shrug. âand i somehow imagine that teenage raia would have loved to have someone like vic around. my childhood was privileged but... there were days i couldâve used someone normal like teenage vic.â she admitted.
kennedy-monroe:
Kennedy nodded. âUnderstandable.â She said. âTherapy sucks.â She said. âCome on, lets go shopping.â She offered
Glad she didnât ask any further questions, Raia nodded. âRead my mind.â
kennedy-monroe:
Kennedy bit her bottom lip as she watched Raia. âDo you need anything?â She asked
Closing her eyes, she opened them a few seconds later and straightened up, turning to face Kennedy with her hands on her hips. âYeah, sorry dude. I just..â She started, before shaking her head again. âI just canât do the therapy thing.â
kennedy-monroe:
Kennedy bit her lip and followed the other girl. âI do too, so letâs go.â She said with a smile
Raia hesitated a moment, unsure whether she really needed or wanted the company. But losing energy fast, she didnât resist it. Instead, she kept walking until she reached the front lawn outside before hunching over, her palms on her thighs, trying to catch her anxious breath.
kennedy-monroe:
âAre you okay Raia?â Kennedy asked. Stupid question, she had just came out of therapy room, of course she wasnât okay.
Hearing Kennyâs voice, she shook her head as she turned to face her abruptly, and then turned back to head towards the front door of the house. âSorry, Ken, Iâm just...â She tried, but then shook her head more aggressively. âI just need to get out of here for a little.â
âIâm not doing this. And you have absolutely no right to keep me here, so enjoy your fucking day while I find anywhere but here to spend the rest of my afternoon.â She huffed, turning to walk out of one of the therapy rooms when she collided with someone in the hallway. âSorry - excuse me.â She said quick, not bothering to lift her gaze to check who it was.

âokay, i see what youâre doing here. and i wish i knew what that meant. but even if i did, iâm getting bored, anon. letâs move on.â
leave it at that as opposed to saying... what?
âas opposed to saying itâs none of your business, anon. wait and see just like the rest of us. but iâve been known to put on a damn good show.â
