Happy 81st Anniversary to The Railway Series!
Nia enjoyed her life on the fat controllers railway. Some things were very new to her but many things were the same no matter where you were, trucks were one of them.
"If you stop bumping I'll tell you stories from home" she told them & the curious trucks relucantly behaved.
James had been excited when Sir Topham Hatt had sent him to the mainland to collect some new "very important" rolling stock. However when he came back over the Vicarstown rolling bright instead of nice shiny coaches like he had expected he was pulling some dull tar wagons!
"It took days to straighten my bufferbeam! Days!"
"The yards in a right state too at the moment & its all thanks to that drated Tetley."
"I reckon we should just get it over with & get you to pull him apart Oliver, scare some discipline into them."
When Isabel & Dulcie came out of the works they had been painted up in NWR colours! Both looked very smart.
The driver would go into their little cabs & control Oliver using levers under the coaches. They would ring their bell's to tell Oliver what to do & all three worked well.
There was a brakevan in the yard that had taken a dislike to Douglas. Things always went wrong when he had to take it out...
They found Gordon half way up & very cross. His driver & fireman were talking to him severely.
"Your not trying!"
"I can't do it," said Gordon "The noisy trucks hold an engine back so"
While passengers were all good & well the backbone of the Fat Controllers railway was fright. This was where the engines were really in constant competition with the roads.
Arthur was a gentle soul & while he loved his time with the fish run it was sometimes nice to pull coaches again too. He was very gentle with the fish vans & carried that same care to his coaches. They were very impressed & sung his praises loudly as they sprinted down the line.
Got this weird pop up today after rewatching Carson's Dudley adaptation? What do I do?
The big station was buzzing. Dowager Hatt was coming so both Duck & Toby had been drafted in from the branchline's to help clear the yard & make sure everything was in its proper place.
"Don't daddle by the watertower" Duck teased but Toby just laughed as he enjoyed his drink.
Well it's the first day for Peter Sam's new driver and all he's got left is to do the incline run what could possibly go wro- WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ROBERT?!
Saw people were making this a meme so why not!
You are stuck on a 10 hour flight with a bunch of Thomas characters.
Choose your seat.
One day Thomas was at the junction when, with a cheerful "Good morning!" Pip & emma hurried by! Moments later with a rattle and a roar they were gone!
"Good grief do you ever stop being so cheerful?" Ruth hissed as they thundered onto the viaduct.
"Oh come on, lighten up" Richard chuckled "Before you got repainted you always loved a joke" Ruth didn't reply. Richard hadn't seen how things were changing now BR had formed...
Mike found the passengers insufferable. They would act like he was an amusement rather then a "real" engine and many a time he would loose his patience. His temper would flair up, the boiler pressure grew & his safety valve would go off!
Gator enjoyed his time on sodor. It was a lot more relaxing then his work back home but he enjoyed still feeling really useful.
