y'all need to relearn the word erratic and stop using schizophrenic/bipolar/psychotic as a replacement
y'all need to relearn the word particular and stop using ocd as a replacement
People need to relearn the word "egocentric" and stop using narcissist/narc as a replacement.
People need to relearn the word "impulse" and stop using "intrusive thought" as a replacement
People need to learn the word "kindness" and stop using "empathy" as a replacement
This is literally how you actually improve ADHD symptoms btw
behind every gay person is an even gayer, more evil person
he's such a lil creature
Alastor doesn't just live rent-free in Vox's head.
He's the goddamn landlord.

“No, your grandma didn’t speak in tongues, but she did sob. You called her a dipshit.”
Unexpected “partnership”

Clear shot of Zestial as Baxter’s monster regenerates.
I love that for once, Zestial actually looks truly evil for a bit. He is hunched forward with one giant clawed hand, his expression actually looks malicious, and my favorite detail - he smiles so wide that the stitches from his pilot design have reappeared at the corners of his mouth.
This feels like a peek at the true reason why he is so feared and considered a league of his own so much so that other Overlords test themselves against him because he is so confident he will win, so it’s all about just surviving and giving a good try.
And also my other favorite detail.
He already has Carmilla’s teacup with him, and this proves he always keeps it with him, he didn’t just summon it from her office in S1. And they’re already close friends at this point in time so their history goes even further back.
Man I wish we could have a lore-dump flashback episode for them, but I doubt it’s this season. My current headcanon is that Carmilla lasted the longest against him when she had to test herself for the right to be an Overlord and fought him. And I love to imagine it was like dance-battling like she did with Vaggie, and may explain Zestial’s greetings of “Enchanted as always” to her in S1. He may have been ‘enchanted’ from their fight lol.
The position of the box holding Carmilla and her late ex−husband’s rings is quite intriguing: the ring box sits on her left, while the teacups of her daughters, herself, and Zestial are on her right. Her entire right side is filled with the teacups of her current family and her loved ones, while the left side is empty—save only for the ring box of the deceased.
In traditional Spanish religious culture, the left and right sides have the following interpretations:
- Right (Derecha): Symbolizes life, good fortune, justice, and heaven
- It is said that good people step into heaven with their right foot first, so the right side is regarded as an auspicious symbol.
- In Spanish, both "derecho" (straight) and "derecha" (right) are associated with positive connotations.
- Wedding rings are traditionally worn on the right hand, representing honor and trust, a tradition originating from Roman culture.
- Left (Izquierda): Symbolizes death, inauspiciousness, misfortune, and bad luck
- In Spanish, "left" is "izquierda", derived from the Latin word "sinister"—a root that inherently carries the meaning of "ominous".
- In Spanish superstition, the left side is often seen as a direction that brings bad luck.
1. Religious and Spiritual Beliefs
- In traditional Spanish Catholic culture, the right side is linked to heaven and redemption, while the left is tied to hell and curses.
- In religious art, symbols of death (such as skeletons) are often placed on the left side of works, while symbols of life/redemption are positioned on the right.
2. Folk Beliefs
- Spanish folk tradition holds that leaving open scissors on the left is a symbol of sudden death, as the scissors are thought to "cut the thread of life".
- In some regions, a twitching left eyelid is believed to foreshadow misfortune, while a twitching right eyelid signifies good luck.
The deceased she has lost rests on the left, while the living—those she loves now—are on the right. This means Carmilla’s daughters and Zestial are redemption for her in the present, and the ring box of her late husband on the left? It is her hell.
What’s even more intriguing is that Zestial has been standing firmly on Carmilla’s right—the side of redemption—as he admonishes her, yet the choices Carmilla makes are rooted in the left, in the ring of her late husband—that of hell and destruction.
It wasn’t just a frown or disgust—Zestial was actually so enraged he wanted to lash out at Vox??????Holy shit?????? At the start of Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Episode 6, when Vox shows Carmilla the weapon designs—right after Odette gets mad—I never turned up the volume enough to hear Zestial here before. I cranked the sound today and found he actually let out an angry growl at Vox?????? It’s such a loud growl, Vox you really pissed him off. Even when Velvette yelled directly at him back then, he never growled. Everyone go to the first 53 seconds of Episode 6 immediately and turn up the volume to hear his growl!!!!!!!
A very heavy low growl, which I had never noticed before. I thought he was just dissatisfied at that time. I turned up the volume and found that he was really yelling at Vox. If Carmilla hadn't given up first, he would definitely have come out later to hunt Vox down……
From here, we can see that neither Zestial nor Carmilla cares about being hurt or insulted, they only care about whether the other is hurt.
Carmilla: Call me a conceited old woman—I don’t care.
Anyone being rude to Zestial: How dare you be disrespectful to Zestial?!
Zestial: Call me an antique, kick down my door—I don’t mind.
Anyone taking advantage of Carmilla: How dare you coercion and inducement Carmilla?!
It’s time for my Detail Zestmilla Class – Grammar Breakdown of "I shall return to your side".
Before Zestial left Carmilla, he said "I shall return to your side" instead of "your location" or "your place", as the latter two are neutral terms.
"Your location" refers to the spot where you are, and "your place" means the area you’re in, while "your side" signifies being by your side – a place of belonging, reliance, and protection.
He used "return" rather than "come back" because "come back" carries a weaker emotional weight. "Return" conveys a more proactive and resolute sense of coming back; it is not a casual trip to somewhere, but emphasizes a subjective determination to return specifically to this person.
Thus, "I shall return to your side" is typically used among family, partners, close friends, and comrades-in-arms. Uttering this phrase itself reflects his urgent desire to get back to Carmilla, and also signifies that Carmilla’s side is his true belonging, his reliance, and the place he cherishes most.
So Zestial's proactive appearance in the end was partly due to his eagerness to return, and partly because he only saw Carmilla's side as the place he should go back to.
And I’m going to analyze the Zestial's line "My truest wish is that you cometh to thine senses posthaste" again. First, "truest wish" uses the superlative to emphasize this was his deepest desire at the time—but the key isn’t "you cometh to thine senses," it’s posthaste. If it were just "I hope you come to your senses," the line wouldn’t pair with the following "I will return to your side" (the urgency is lost). He used "posthaste"—meaning "at once, with great speed"—literally conveying he wanted Carmilla to come to her senses right then and there, not eventually.
So the literal translation is "My truest wish is that you come to your senses immediately," because the moment you do, I’ll come back to you. The whole line screams: "Please, wake up quickly!" It may seem like Carmilla is suffering from the separation, but in truth, this old man is heartbroken. He’s truly desperate to come home—this is pure agony and torment for him, guys. That's also why his last sentence was always a very urgent one, and he appeared immediately in the last episode. Because leaving Carmilla was really painful for him.
That's also why when I saw the sixth episode of the second season, I didn't think Zestmilla's relationship would break down. Because for Zestial and Carmilla, leaving each other was unimaginable. Zestial knew that leaving Carmilla would cause him even more pain, but he still wanted to calm him down in this way, and Carmilla was the one who would firmly protect him even if he left. In less than three minutes, both of them expressed to each other: I am willing to hurt my own feelings to protect you. That's why I realized that Zestial and Carmilla's brief separation couldn't even be considered a breakup. Because they simply cannot imagine their lives apart from each other.
Honestly, no notes on Zestial's interior design. ^_^<3<3<3
Also, I am just loving Zestial's annoyed expression here. That's definitely a mood for when someone you hate shows up uninvited. XD XD XD
This may have been funnier in my head 🤣
you tell a guy to use a coaster ONE TIME and it pisses him off so badly he snaps, has a mental breakdown, concocts a double dealing scheme to win back his agency, stays a willing captive of a megalomaniac ex-weatherman he loathes for weeks, manipulates said ex-weatherman into gaining so much power he loses his fucking mind and tries to nuke the entire known universe for the sake of some wordplay, reclaims his status as the strongest sinner in hell, power-plays the former holder of his deal to get what he wants, and then comes back to the scene of the crime as a free soul at full strength just so he can devote the remainder of his free time in eternal damnation to FUCKING WITH YOU
was really mad that the couches in the lobby at my work got removed :( then I remembered that most days I open there's someone sleeping on them, meaning someone reported that to housekeeping and their "solution" was to remove the couches entirely?? I was pissed about it, then noticed this sign today
the removal of comfort in public spaces to 'deter' homeless people impacts everyone
