Fully addressing the allegations that have been pushed on us

Mod Scythe again, by the way. My hand was basically pushed to make this post after seeing our artist list was leaked and having from what I can assume entire list being sent the links. My identity might have also been possibly leaked, but I have not seen that post yet. I have only seen my age exposed which already puts me into extreme danger.

Starting with what I was talking about in the first post, I had opened my account after fig had dmed me on my main seemingly very stressed. When I opened my dms from Rox on my mod account, I had been sent screenshots of fig venting to someone it had trusted at one of their lowest. This person is part of the group harassing us, and forwarded these messages to rox in an attempt to make me and Trout upset with fig for "talking behind our backs."

I will not uncensor the actual screenshots because its not anyone's business to see fig in what it thought was a private vulnerable conversation, but I will say the contents I had read in their entirety, both Trout and I did not feel hurt, especially since these were from months ago. You should never use someone's vulnerability against them, and it disgusts me that this was used in an attempt to cause anxiety between us.

Also, if any of you reblog this to uncensor the messages here I will report it and get it taken down.

Along with this, i should mention this was sent to Trout as well. The statement they're referring to here and how fig was "scapegoating" me was from the message I sent suri, which was collectively agreed on. This was after a conversation with Suri discussing this post, and being met with complete disregard for how her recent reblogs could shy others away from the project and effect out representation. The reason this was carried out quicker, was because every mod was online and was able to give their opinions in a conversation before unanimously agreeing on what to do.

They did not attempt to reach out at all following this message, and they had removed themselves from interacting with fig outside of the project.

When I opened the ticket Rox had made, I was met with them arguing with the mods. Please have it be noted that we have established sending messages to eachother in periods of stress, but that was not done here we the mod team fully takes accountability for that and we're sorry. However, I don't think that excuses how targeted a lot of these messages felt toward fig, and how clear screenshots of a group chat were introjected several times to insult.

The name and screenshot censored were from another user we haven't been able to follow up on because of this whole ordeal, but the general consensus is that action will not need to be taken due to the nature of the post and lack of any other suspicious post.

I have to make another post for more screenshots, but what I will point out here is the blatant disregard of many repeated details that we have even stated in the original statement.

At the time of that being sent, we had checked shima's blog and there was nothing concerning. It was only birthday posts. They did not bring up what these supposed posts were.

The ticket was closed as a means of getting a transcript, and instead of contacting us directly if they had more to say, Rox proceeded to make an "exposing" tumblr post, posted it to the main channel, and left the server. This was obviously followed by more of the posts you are seeing now, which are very antagonizing in nature. My identity has possibly been revealed as mentioned earlier, our most recent posts have had their reblogs turned off because they just wouldn't stop, and everything we've said in response has been twisted with major details ignored.

As for shima, the real reason many of you are probably here, she was kicked for her own safety and is contemplating making a statement if her own to clear things up currently. All of her posts deemed concerning are from several years ago, and shes told us her views have changed drastically.

What I want to discuss the most though in these allegations, is the grooming one. For those of you who don't know, 2 asks were posted from shima talking about Be More Chill, specifically page 80. The anon asked what page 80 was, as it was frequently brought up in the fandom. What Shima goes on to explain is exactly what happens on that page, and its quite obvious she's a bit weirded out and hesitant to straight up say whats happening. The next photo is of the anon clarifying theyre 17, and asking if they should read it. Shima then clarifies its classified as a young adult book for some reason, but in reality its more geared to adults. Shima says that they are still underage, but any teen could read it if they wanted to, which was the case for my friend helping me figure this out.

We don't necessarily like what was said, but to call this grooming is very hurtful to others. It waters down what the term actually means, minimizes the trauma of grooming victims, makes it harder for them to actually recognize whats happening and when theyre in danger, and may make it harder for victims to be seen in general. Grooming is a pattern of normalizing inappropriate behavior using a power imbalance, usually to get something out of it like sexual gratification or otherwise. Do not go harass her for any of the things mentioned here, as she had said her part to us and if she wants to come out and talk about it she can. Do not give her a short deadline to like this group has been either.

We appreciate your time, and we're sorry for any of the stress this may have caused. There will no doubt be some throw away accounts commenting here and there and spreading the misinformation further, but we ask that instead of listening to them, you ask us further questions.

I have posted my statements, please ignore anything outside of those heavily accusing without any context as its getting more rampant now. The proshipper in question who has 'not been mentioned' or looked into by multiple people has been in progress before any of the posts were made. We had been dealing with harassment during this period. We will not be answering publically anymore as it's only feeding into whats happening, but we only ask anyone reposting or engaging in this delete it as we will be working on this privately like we were originally. Any comments will be deleted, and if it continues you will be blocked. I do not tolerate drama being for the sake of getting a framing response. Not all of the information is being shared.

Hello everyone! Mod Scythe here. Unfortunately, this is not an artist post you were expecting, nor is it a fun update.

recently, it has been brought to our attention that someone on our team is potentially proship. we have, unfortunately, already had to deal with this before, but this time the investigation could not be carried out as quickly (and is still ongoing) due to most mods being unavailable, and we do not make important decisions like this without the whole team, nor is there an automatic removal upon being alerted. We need to look into each claim, and check ourselves, as well as consider many factors such as dates, growth, and of course the actual wording and tone. Since i had been out for a few days, i was not able to tend to this issue and by proxy our other mods could not come to a conclusion as the full team is needed for situations like this.

it was not something that came politely, and i had returned early after seeing clear signs of stress from a mod which inclined me to believe it was from the fundraiser. i had opened my account to dms of personal conversations from a mod being sent to me unconsentually by someone after an argument with them in a ticket, describing the behavior as ‘talking about the mods behind our backs, and using me as a scapegoat’. All of the conversation sent was sensitive in nature, and did not reflect what i was being told at all. this pattern followed when i opened a ticket made in the SRFR server, where the same person had borderline harassed our staff in order to prove a point, bringing up a possible proshipper and giving them (the other mods) less than a few hours to even get a hold of themselves as they were both going through something stressful on their own. The word hypocritical was thrown around quite a lot, and dms from other people not involved were sent with name calling.

we take every case seriously, and i will continue to talk the case of a possible proshipper and giving member over with our mods, HOWEVER, what i do not condone under any circumstances, is blackmailing, defacing, and harassment with clear intent on unfair grounds. Since this ticket was opened, our words have been twisted to fit a clear narrative and every response has been tailored to mark us as ablest or otherwise. We do not entertain this behavior and try to move past it in a professional way, but with multiple tumblr posts of those part of the harassment retracting their support and smearing our names without any context, we felt the need to make this.

We obviously wont post the conversation, since it shows a lot of distress from both sides, but there was clear reaching in many cases that left most of us baffled while trying to do our job of sorting it out. The explanation of what the person in question was saying being not "really reflective of reality" was met with "so you are calling me delusional?"

Similar word twistings were used in almost every message, and what im imagining is being used to call me ablest is the most recent situation. This i WILL show, censored, since its the most prevelant accusation here.

I believe i worded myself clearly here, but I will reiterate it in a clearer way here. I myself grew up with autism along with other mental disorders that had made me rude to others on purpose because I had believed it was my right. How that is, is not anyone's business, but it is important here because throughout the years I had learned to heal from that harmful coping mechanism, and I actively improve myself especially upon critique and limit myself when I notice I am getting out of hand, to the point i am considered a safe person to many. I cannot expect anyone to immediately calm down or shove their emotions away like I can to talk with someone, but I can expect them to at the very least try, and not go to the extent they are at now. Harassing mods for not looking into an all hands on deck case is not something I will ever appreciate, especially when it is targeted and manipulative. The other mods are also autistic, and while some of their messages may have came off as rude this was mediated by talking eachother through responses while I was not there to help since I'm usually the one to do responses the most. This message was brought up out of no where, and while we are deeply sorry for the trauma they went through our mods were simply asking for more time only to be met by more backlash for needing it.

Along with this, since things did get mutually heated, mods NEED to discuss things before sending out messages, including users brought up in tickets, and the one who opened it is aware of this. We do apologize for how the moderation was handled after the mods were pushed, but we do have to remain professional despite that and it is not something that should have happened.

If you do not feel comfortable interacting with us after this, I absolutely understand and that is in your right, but I implore a lot of you to think about where your sources are coming from and ask more questions, at least if you aren't already. Our team has always found the safety of our community to be the top priority, and anything that could shatter that or cause distrust is not something we want.

We care about all of you, even if its not on a personal level because we created this fundraiser to help a charity and bring together two intersecting communities. If we ever slip up, we will take accountability and earn back that trust tenfold because thats the kind of people we are.

We only brought this up due to the number of increasing posts on this situation (one was posted as I was writing this, another was posted prompting me to post ahead of schedule, its only getting worse) and we wouldn't have done this if this was something that could be handled privately. This was something made public against our will, so we have to respond to it.
