I'll make a character intro thing once I can. And I'll tag you.
I want this story to be in parts (like Aster and Liana's story would be separate for example) and she's a character that appears in the whole story.
Her family is what I would say lower nobility. They are as wealthy as maybe someone upper middle class. Most of her family are warriors or soldiers of some sort with the exception of a few, who make weapons or are merchants of some sort.
She has a brother. Her dad is still living, but her late mother held the title.
Amara knew the Princess Iris from childhood and had a long crush on her.
Amara was a guard for Iris for a short bit as a teen but she was recognized for her talent even at a young age and used for other purposes, like defense against the other empire.
She's a bit stern, kind of a Mama bear almost
She uncovered a conspiracy with the family of Princess Iris' lover Cyril Kisa and as a result mist of the family except Gemma and Aster (a baby) were executed.
Amara holds high favor with the king and he lets her do whatever almost with his armies.
She likes bows and wildflowers in her hair because they remind her of Iris and her gentle hands.
She has like past the shoulder hair she usually keeps up. Gray eyes, dark brown skin, a more muscular build and a scar on her left cheek.
She's a lightweight to everyone's shock.
Despite her animosity with the Kisa family she ADORES Aster and worries for his fate with Liana's empire.

The Kisas are closely connected to a somewhat enemy empire.

I'm struggling with writing on all levels lately so I think I may be slower with updates. I also wanted to focus on getting my ocs for Starverse an intro post but that's shelved.
I'm starting to think of another story idea of a lady knight and her princess, so maybe I will focus on that.

not really, mainly not any more prequels or SGE ones. Perhaps I will pick up on ideas I shelved or maybe not.
I am trying to complete my other ones first, mainly Sharp and Dull and Family Means Fate, as well as the Secret Santa. (Which I will try to move to this October, this time I really actually want to finish it.)
My Masque of Life and Death will just be an original story, not SGE anymore.
I also am writing a fanfic for a different Fandom too and trying to write about whatever I want lol.
So unfortunately no new prequels fics for now!! At least not long ones anyway.

"Screw cars" he'd say. Maybe it could be a form of flying in a modern, unmagical context, since you can feel the wind pick up around you as you go faster. (i don't drive yet but biking just honestly seems more fun than a car and not something i'd easily zone out with--)
Either that or he'd try to be super edgy by having a motorcycle with the very stereotypical dark boy vibes. For Rhian's ears, though, I think he'd just go as far as an electric bike.
Ironically, there is biking with Rafal's family in my fic Family Means Fate and I have been considering improving on the bike so I can go to work more easily. (before anyone makes fun of me for not knowing like others I was sheltered a lot in the past so...)
Rafal would be really cute though with the safety gear. He'd probably have a nice, dark colored helmet.

Honestly invested in the family means fate fic, do the sisters has some sort of rivalry? Other than that, Rafal sounds scary as a parent. Hmmm And I could feel a similarity between the sisters’ dynamic and Rafal and Rhian’s dynamic for some reason

Yes, the sisters do have a type of rivalry! It's not exactly an open one, though, but tense moments, jealousies, and misunderstandings that get in the way.
I guess Rafal could be considered scary, or at least anxiety-inducing and exhausting. There is one daughter he apparently relates to more, appreciates, and favors-- and she in turn absolves him of everything. No-- she doesn't even believe he is at fault and actually follows his justifications on how it wasn't his fault about the divorce, her sister's behavior, Uncle Rhian, he leaving his scientist job to be a professor and stay with them, etc. However, there are things that eventually make her question him.
In some aspects, the sisters' relationship is similar to Rafal and Rhian. Both are twins, and Genevieve is overprotective and controlling towards Saya. She disregards her emotions, desires, and needs and views her as less. Genevieve is also more dutiful, in this case being the obedient daughter and daddy's right hand girl against everyone else. Rafal even rewards her with slight freedom, such as having a limited online presence. (blogging and stuff without her face.) She is more uptight about things.
Saya, however, is not exactly Rhianesque. In fact, Gen embodies some of that toxic positivity that may reflect Rhian's naivety. Saya is more emotional, reserved, and a dreamer, but is someone who does have compassion and is capable of affecting people rather than her antisocial sister. She is cynical and doesn't expect much from anything or anyone; she sees her family situation exactly as it is. She doesn't believe in reciprocated love. At least not for her, and she thinks love is often one-sided and unreturned in life. She is well aware her parents will never go back together, Rafal wants to marry someone else, and that their mother never really cared much in the first place. She did blame Rafal though for driving her away. Saya is rebellious and stubborn, and she does have her own streak of Rafal. (Ambitious nature, negative outlook, and her own brand of controlling.)
I would say the sister's dynamic is mostly one of resentment and some deep-rooted envy. Saya believes Gen is arrogant, selfish, unsympathetic, unsensitive, and naive. Yet, she envies gen for being the more "intelligent" one and how she always gets attention online. Genevieve views Saya as the "pretty, weaker" twin and lowkey envies how people love her in person and how people don't care much for Gen in person. Gen always tries to one up Saya or make her anti sociability something cool and quirky so people respect her. She uses fancy, formal language to at least divert attention from her sister who can speak naturally, if she speaks to anyone at all. It starts when Gen realizes Saya is not a little baby sister she can protect or a dog she can pull around on a leash. And Gen always coming to the defense of their poor, disrespected father.
