Canât You Here Me Knocking {Closed Rp}
Ralphie was trying to figure out if that was a real skull or the phony type, getting even a little distracted from the nice brew that the old gal from downstairs had made him. He was again on guard duty, well sorta, and was called in when Watson had to step out. Mycroft had people watching the Doc when Ralphie wasnât and only a few, Sherlock included, knew that it was the Doc who was in the real danger. He and his pal still needed to talk over a few things, including the laptop fiasco and maybe whether that skull was real or notâŠ
âShitâŠâ Ralphie touched it with a hesitant finger as he sipped his coffee, remembering a lovely Creole Mama he once banged years ago telling tales of Voodoo and Hoodoo and a human hand she kept on an altar to put the curse on people. He ainât never been cursed, luckily enough, and Ralphie was sure Sherlock had this creepy keepsake for another reason. Ralphie turned as he heard Sherlock step out from the other room, smiling as he held his mug with both hands now, giving a nod to the front door. âThat nice lady showed me up⊠I was admiring your Necro Fang Shoe here. Nice touch.â

Sherlock smiled at the surprising addition inside the flat, finishing the last button of his shirt sleeve as he exited he and Johnâs bedroom. Ralphieâs words took him for a loop, however, as indicating for his friend to sit.
âAh⊠Thank you,â he said with some hesitation, not quite sure what it was his friend happened to be admiring. His eyes glanced to the Persian slipper, dismissing it as the shoe. With Ralphieâs wonderful American accent, one could never be quite sure what the man was saying.
âWell, what bring you by this way?â he asked, reaching for his own cup of tea.
âJohnâs out at the moment. How have you been?â
It was nice to see Sherlock. He wondered if he would get along as well with the Doc once the two had the chance to actually interact without some bleak situation occurring. Sherlock however was a true friend and even in these tense times it was easy to almost forget everything that had been looming over everyone. Almost.Â
âIâve been alright enough...â Ralphie set his mug down onto a little table before taking a seat as he smiled at the other man. âYour brother has some of his guys looking after him tonight... soâs I figure you and I can go over some of the stuff thatâs been going on.â
There had been a lot aside from Irene Adler and Galen OâShay. The broad who knocked him out and took the laptop, one they had to call a loss on, as well as this Quinn fellow who they all had partook in cutting up a very old body for. The last one didnât really seem all that connected to the other things but Ralphie was very protective over his friend, and in turn his friendâs people.
âAlso, if youâre alright with it, I think itâs best we tell Dr. Watson who I am, even if we donât tell him why Iâm really here. He knows Gemma like I do. So heâll have to accept that she has somebody looking out for you guys. Besides-â Ralphieâs hands were more expressive now, even with his wrists resting on the table. â-secrets are no good. They just get in the way and make things harder for all involved. What da you think?â
