the randolph name, it was a name that people have known very well since the 1800s.Β Β they were old money, and as years have gone by, every new generation brought in new money to pile on top of it.Β Β but with each generation came with their own troubles, scandal, you name it.Β but for jupiter randolph, he wanted to change that for himself.
jupiter randolph was born in new york, to one charles randolph and elizabeth woods. he was born thirteen minutes before his twin brother ββββ.Β Β growing up, all they had known was the richest that came from being in the randolph family, but he would also realize the loneliness that came with that name.
it wasn't news when jupiter's parents divorced when they were five. many years of arguments had dealt with the end of a marriage, and that meant him and his twin were constantly shipped back and forth from each parent. but when the twins were eight, their mom ended up moving to colorado to take a job as a professor at the university of denver, and the boys were stuck living in new york with their father during most of the year, while summers were spent with their mom.
so for the next few years, jupiter grew up knowing the randolph way.Β his father constantly bringing home a new step-mother that jupiter always avoided, and his twin and him were slowly distancing.Β Β so that's what he feltββ loneliness.Β Β jupiter knew it too well, even at a young age.Β and he thought it was just him having some independence, but really it was him and his books to keep him occupied from the loneliness he was feeling.
when the twins started boarding school, that's when it got really bad for jupiter. independence turned to isolation, and he knew he was very different from his own brother, and he started to compare himself to him, to all the other guys and he felt out of place. jupiter was an intelligent person.Β but he always felt the need to dumb himself down for everyone. nobody likes the know-it-all, the nerd.Β at least thatβs what he overheard his brother say once when he was a kid.Β Β and as much as he kept himself informed, learning new things, the more he was in the spotlight because of his name, he felt like he was constantly losing himself.Β
one day, out of nowhere, he felt like he couldn't breath, like someone was crushing his chest. his first anxiety attack, and it wasn't the last. anxiety starting to cripple in his life, and the only thing that he felt like helped with it was foodββ and not eating it. his twin had noticed jupiter drastic change in his appetite, and the lack of a social life. and when he realized what he was doing, he confronted him. but not eating was all for control, so that he didn't feel the anxiety that he did.
his brother was very concerned the moment jupiter had passed out from not eating, and he had told his parents that jupiter was not eating much, so their parents decided it would be best for jupiter to live with his mom in colorado, thinking that a change of scenery would end up being good for him. and to jupiter's surprise, it really was.
jupiter ended up focusing on school, focusing on things that he loved the most and that was books and writing. he was sixteen when he wrote his first novel, but never thought of publishing it seeing as he was very insecure about his writing and also very young. but he kept writing short stories here and there, and when he was in college, he knew that literature was something he wanted to do.
he made the dream happened. he had finally got his first published book, and it had reached number one of new york time best seller. it was amazing, and he had social media to thank, because he decided to read a few experts, even had a video that blew up and put him on the map. now he's back in colorado after finishing a book tour, thinking of what he wanted to write next. he just hopes it will be as good as the first.Β

this summer he had his book tour, which was received so well thanks to his growing following on his social media platforms.
has now returned back to colorado after what he felt like a long summer away, and is ready to start writing his new book.
he's trying to find different inspirations, feeling stuck on what to write. writer's block is very real on him.

oh brother, my brother - jupiterβs twin brother, ββββ randolph. they are very much opposites of each other. while he was the quiet, always stuck to his writing in his notebook type brenton was the loud, vivacious one, the sporty and class president type.
are you just an older version of me? - can someone who is like ten years older than you be your best friend, well for jupiter and this person, their friendship really worked. they are like an older sibling to them, jupiter is always in bright spirits when they see each other.
the longest friendship that i can remember - someone jupiter grew up with in denver that he feels comfortable around.Β maybe their parents worked together at the university. or they became instant friends when jupiter arrived. they are close friends, practically family, someone that just gets what they go through ( can be male or female ).β
just the librarian with things to say about my book - this is someone that works at the library who happens to have a thing to say about his book. could be good or bad, up to player really. of course, jupiter takes it to heart, but he always appreciates to hear honest opinions of people that read his book. but if it's negative or more critique, maybe the librarian is jealous cause they themselves have been trying to get their own book published with no luck.
frenemies to friends to maybe more - someone who constantly teases on jupiter, for no reason.Β maybe because itβs jealousy, or maybe they secretly likes jupiter, who knows. but as they become friends, its clear that jupiter likes this person a little more than he realizes.
