{Fluff} A chance encounter with one royal advisor at the most magical gala you had ever attended.
Warnings: None
Song: Enchanted
The only good thing about a Gala, or any event that required one to dress up was, well, dressing up. Which was why, with the current retinue, you couldn’t help but be bored. Your head lolled to the side as you fought sleep.
Perhaps the only thing that had kept you sane while chatting up dignitaries and politicians on trivial matters was the champagne that was being paraded around on silver serving trays.
You were dragged into another lackluster conversation about the food choices of tonight’s gala, because how could they have chosen Duscaean Dace over Gold Lucian Carp? You nodded absently, swirling the glass around, a headache beginning to pulse in the inner recesses of your mind. Certainly, you were sure that the only reasons that topics like that were discussed was because they liked to hear the sound of their own posh voices. And frankly, you had had enough.
A plan was being formulated to escape the clutches of this conversation, your eyes scanning the crowd for the exit. A pair of startling green ones caught yours, and the liquid in your glass swirled to a stop.
Can’t wait for, like, 2025 when we look back on the 2018/2019 era and say “hey, remember when we were all really freaking depressed? That was a crazy time! Glad we aren’t like that anymore”
- Note: Shiny can actually write something that's not yandere? I know, shocker. It's possible, believe it or not! I didn't know if I would share this, but I decided I should put it out there. Let's see how y'all like this one. Depending on how it's received, I can consider a second part with the rest of the main cast.
Important to note: I'm only really familiar with one of the parks, so obviously I'm basing this off that one. Yeah, I know TWST will never become a huge part of the parks. Trust me, I know. But it's still fun to imagine.
You know what my favorite part about this idea is? It’s the fact that because the characters are canonically based on villains, they practically have permission to be mean. Yeah, so for y’all who don’t know, most of the “good” characters have to keep up the persona and be kind all the time. The villains though? They’re allowed to have a bit more fun by being a bit unkind, to put it lightly.
HEARTSLABYUL
Ace Trappola
Where can I find Ace?
In ToonTown. He’s never too far down the road. Usually you can find him in one of three places: lounging by the fountain, hanging out by the concession stands, or off towards the right by Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin. Usually, there’s a certain someone else with him.
What’s something Ace might do?
Oh, he toys with the guests in mostly harmless ways. Pointing out their shoes are untied when they’re not just to disappear, and popping up behind others to startle them and get a laugh. If you’re lucky, he might even perform a card trick or two just for you or he and Deuce might join you on a ride.
How can I get Ace’s attention?
Just say something along the lines of “hey, Ace, wanna see something funny?” and you got his undivided attention. Did Deuce fall? No? Then whatever it is, it better be funny or he’ll be sorely disappointed.
What might Ace say?
When asked for a photo: “You’re asking for a picture? Isn’t that more Cater’s thing? Fineeeee, I guess if I have too.”
When asked for an autograph: “What do you need my signature for? You want it in your notebook? Wow, I didn’t know you liked me THAT much. Kinda weird.”
When annoyed: “You never got accepted into Night Raven, huh? Yeah, go figures. I don’t think you would have made it there.”
When approaching you: “What’s up? You just came out of a ride, didn’t you? And you went without me! I’m hurt. Now you gotta hang out with me for a minute to make up for it.”
Deuce Spade
Where can I find Deuce?
In ToonTown. Usually, he can be found with Ace in the previously listed three locations: by the fountain, by the concession stands, or off towards the right by Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
What’s something Deuce might do?
When not bickering with Ace, he’s looking at the mobility scooters. Those don’t look very fast… If you’re lost, he’s willing to give you directions! Isn’t that the job of an upstanding honor student? To help others? Although, he might accidentally send you the wrong way.
How can I get Deuce’s attention?
He’s taken it upon himself to watch over Ace, although that’s probably not the best idea since he’ll get dragged into antics too. “Uh, Deuce, your friend is messing with another guest.” He’s at it again??
What might Deuce say?
When asked for a photo: “You want a picture? Of me? Um, well, okay. Let’s do it! I think my Mom would like to see that I've made some friends.”
When asked for an autograph: “You want me to write my name in your book? Huh… okay, I don’t see why not. Just on this page?”
When annoyed: “I may not know all the Queen’s rules, but even I know you shouldn’t really be doing that.”
When approaching you: “You look tired. We’re going to go hang out at those tables over there in the shade. You should join us.”
Cater Diamond
Where can I find Cater?
In Fantasyland. Between King Arthur’s Carrousel and The Mad Hatter shop. The area is super photogenic you know. If you’re lucky, you might encounter him alongside another fellow third-year.
What’s something Cater might do?
You need to come with him, ASAP. He requires a second opinion on which pair of ears looks best on him. Or would a hat look better? He’s all too happy to pose with you while trying on accessories in the shop, and pairing your outfit with your own headpiece.
How can I get Cater’s attention?
All you need to say is “oh, Cater, can you take a picture of us?” You want him to take the picture? Wouldn’t you prefer he be in the picture with you? Come on, stand next to him and smile. You should snap a few more just in case!
What might Cater say?
When asked for a photo: “Uh, of course! Duh! You have to send it to me though, ‘kay? Oh, come this way, I know the best spot with the perfect lighting!”
When asked for an autograph: “Me? You want my autograph? Why?? I’m flattered, but I’m not like an A-list celeb or anything, but sure!”
When annoyed: “Uh, can you not step over the flowers? You’re ruining the aesthetic, and there’s a fence there for a reason.”
When approaching you: “I just had to tell you, your outfit is super cute! Especially your shoes. Come with me, I was looking for some company to chat with as I look for the Housewarden.”
Trey Clover
Where can I find Trey?
Between The Mad Tea Party ride and the Alice In Wonderland ride in Fantasyland. Usually he sticks by the wide road bordering the Matterhorn Bobsleds, but sometimes he’ll appear closer to The Mad Hatter shop.
What’s something Trey might do?
Showing concern to any guest with Alice in Wonderland merchandise, especially those inspired by the Queen of Hearts. If you’re eating a sweet treat and taking a break by a bench, he might join you and ask about what you have there.
How can I get Trey’s attention?
It’s fairly easy to get his attention, but you can ask something like, “Trey, can you recommend some sweets?” and he’s by your side in an instant with a list of his favorites.
What might Trey say?
When asked for a photo: “A picture with me, huh? Well, if you’re sure about it, then go ahead. But I’m not as photogenic as the others.”
When asked for an autograph: “My name? In your book? That’s an odd request, but if it’ll make you happy, then I’ll do it.”
When annoyed: “Don’t be giving me more trouble now. I already have enough on my plate as it is.”
When approaching you: “Are you lost? If you have time to spare, would you join me? I’m looking for Cater so we can join Riddle in a moment.”
Riddle Rosehearts
Where can I find Riddle?
Walking around three notable landmarks in Fantasyland: The Mad Hatter shop, Mad Tea Party ride, and The Alice in Wonderland ride. Most often he can be found walking anywhere between these locations.
What’s something Riddle might do?
Usually, he’ll walk about and correct behavior and mistakes. If you are to spend the day here, then you must conduct yourself properly. Move along, and do not hold up the line! Pick up after yourselves! And, if you comply with the rules, he may join you on one of the nearby rides.
How can I get Riddle’s attention?
If you’re within his earshot and he hears, “I don’t remember if this is against the rules…” He’s marching right towards you. He’ll reprimand you lightly for not knowing the regulations, but seeing that this wasn’t a terrible offense, he’ll let it slide just this once.
What might Riddle say?
When asked for a photo: “A photograph? Very well, I’ll allow it. Make it quick. Stand straight, lift your head, and look at the camera.”
When asked for an autograph: “You want my signature? Whatever for? It better not be for something I wouldn’t approve of. It’s not? Fine, then. Let me see your pen.”
When annoyed: “Do you normally act in such a way that flagrantly violates the rules? Beyond the regulations, it’s simply bad manners. Do I need to teach you basic manners you were clearly never taught?”
When approaching you: “You. You shall accompany me to the tea party. Come now, quickly, we don’t have all day. I’m certain Trey and Cater are awaiting our arrival at the designated location with the table already set. So do not dally.”
SAVANACLAW
Jack Howl
Where can I find Jack?
In Frontierland. He prefers to be off on his own in the less busy routes, like the roads leading off to Galaxy’s Edge behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. However, on occasion, he can be found on Tom Sawyer Island. Most of the time he’s alone, but sometimes you just might find him following another beastman.
What something Jack might do?
Constantly he’s on the move, and doesn’t stop to interact with just anyone. If he catches you recording him for far too long, he’ll approach you intimidatingly to call you out on the recording. He’s easily frightening others as he might pass and give a few glares here and there.
How can I get Jack’s attention?
He’s definitely one of the hardest to interact with, and even if he does notice you, chances are that he’ll brush right past you. In order to really capture his attention, you might have to say something like, “I have a challenge for you, Jack.”
What might Jack say?
When asked for a photo: “No… What do you mean you challenge me to take a picture? That’s not–– Fine. Just take the picture already.”
When asked for an autograph: “Okay, okay, stop. I’m not giving you my signature unless you agree to stop bothering me.”
When annoyed: “What? I’ve got no intention of being friends, so buzz off. I’m not listening to a word coming from someone weaker than me.”
When approaching you: “Hey, you. Yeah, you. You okay with rollercoasters? Good. Keep up. They won’t let me on unless I have someone else with me in my row.”
Ruggie Bucchi
Where can I find Ruggie?
In Frontierland. Either he’s roaming around on the bridge beside Big Thunder Mountain Railroad that leads straight to Galaxy’s Edge or he’s looking for Leona on Tom Sawyer Island. Half the time he’s solo, but the other half of the time there’s another beastman around him.
What’s something Ruggie might do?
Staring at the food carts. He’ll just appear as you’re in line for one, curious on what you’re ordering. He’s a stealthy one, as he finds amusement in giving guests a little scare just to laugh about it. Don’t be too mad, he’s just having a bit of fun. If you help him search for his fellow beastman, he’ll convince them to at least chat with you.
How can I get Ruggie’s attention?
Since Ruggie is probably searching for Leona, you could easily grab his attention with “oh, Ruggie, I saw Leona over there a second ago.” If you were lying, he’s gonna make you help him find Leona now.
What might Ruggie say?
When asked for a photo: “A picture, huh? Sure… Okay, hold on now. Where are you going? You got your picture, but now you owe me something.”
When asked for an autograph: “M’kay, signed and done. There you go. Now, you gotta come with me. I never said I’d do it for free, heheh.”
When annoyed: “Heh, so unprepared. Honestly, I don’t even think you’d be of real use to me, so this is where we’ll part ways. Bye-bye!”
When approaching you: “Aww, look, a fresh-faced newbie! Don’t you know you should never let your guard down? I can teach you a thing or two, but you gotta do something for me in return.”
Leona Kingscholar
Where can I find Leona?
In Frontierland. Nine times out of ten, he’s lounging somewhere hidden on Tom Sawyer Island. However, on occasion, you might be able to find him walking along Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as he makes his way to the island. And sometimes there might be another beastman nearby looking for him.
What’s something Leona might do?
Ignore people, almost all the time. Like Jack, he’s another one that’s difficult to interact with. He’ll go so far as to reject requests for photos and autographs. He’s much more likely to find someplace where people can’t reach him, like up high, and stay there. The most he’ll give are bored tired glances and eye rolls.
How can I get Leona’s attention?
Now that is the question. Hardly anything works. You just have to catch him in a good mood. You have a slight chance of getting a response if you ask something along the lines of, “Hey, how was your nap?”
What might Leona say?
When asked for a photo: “Tsk… Alright, since you asked me with the respect I deserve, I’ll let you take one picture. Hurry it up.”
When asked for an autograph: “Really? You’re buggin’ me for something like that? You must be pretty fearless to request an autograph from me.”
When annoyed: “Get your paws off. I never gave you permission to touch, and I hate handsy people. You just want to talk to me? Forget it. It ain’t happening.”
When approaching you: “You were the one waving at me earlier. At least you weren’t yelling for my attention. Hm… I’m in a good mood, so I guess I won’t torment you. I’ll let you hang out around me, it might be better than Ruggie or Jack’s company.”
OCTAVINELLE
Floyd Leech
Where can I find Floyd?
In New Orleans Square. Although he’s a bit of a wildcard. He’s supposed to be mostly between Disneyland Railroad and the little maze that is New Orleans Square, but he’ll wander off near Harbour Galley, River Belle Terrace, or sometimes all the way on Tom Sawyer Island.
What’s something Floyd might do?
Following whoever looks interesting. He’ll go into shops or restaurants just to surprise people, or join people on a ride whenever he’s feeling bored. If you get lucky and he picks you to go on a ride with him, he’ll cut to the front. Although if you fail to keep his interest, he’ll walk away mid-conversation.
How can I get Floyd’s attention?
It’s usually fairly easy to get his attention, especially when he's in a good mood. If you just go, “hey, Floyd, doesn’t that look fun?” He’s at your side to see what you’re looking at. It better actually be fun.
What might Floyd say?
When asked for a photo: “Again? It’s always can I get a picture, can I get a picture, can I get a picture? I’m tired of hearing it. If I take a picture with you, are you gonna at least make it fun?”
When asked for an autograph: “Azul says never to sign things for suspicious people. It’s a good thing I’m not Azul, huh?”
When annoyed: “You’re funny. You’re like a barnacle, so clingy and hard to get off. Shouldn’t you be scared I’ll get back at you? Seriously, knock it off.”
When approaching you: “This is a drag… Oooh! Here’s an idea. I’ll just tail you. I bet you’re lots of fun, hm? I’ll tag along until I get bored.”
Jade Leech
Where can I find Jade?
In New Orleans Square or Adventureland. Customarily he’ll stroll around River Belle Terrace or the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, usually admiring the vegetation near the Adventureland Treehouse. However, he might venture further into New Orleans Square to find his companions.
What’s something Jade might do?
Oh, he so enjoys greeting the naive guests. It is especially entertaining when Floyd is there to assist in the welcome. It’s why they’ll seek each other out, and walk around startling any unfortunate soul they come across. Should someone be lost, he may offer them a hand, but it may not be wise to trust him completely.
How can I get Jade’s attention?
Don’t let him hear you say anything like “Jade, I might be lost.” If he hears that, he’s honing in on you and offering you a helping hand. Although there’s no telling where he’ll really take you.
What might Jade say?
When asked for a photo: “My, my, you’re the third person to have requested a photo with me in the past several minutes. It appears I’m quite popular, I’m honestly a tad embarrassed.”
When asked for an autograph: “What a highly suspicious request. I must admit, I am intrigued. It’s not too often that I find myself in the position of the signatory.”
When annoyed: “Haha, I see you’re a mischief maker. However, you’re hardly charming. In fact, I would say you’re being rather unreasonable.”
When approaching you: “Would you care to join me? What for, you ask? Why do you look at me so? I’m wounded. I was merely inviting you along so that you might meet my companions.”
Azul Ashengrotto
Where can I find Azul?
In New Orleans Square. Where the foot traffic is heaviest with an abundance of poor suckers potential clients is where you’re most likely to find Azul. That’s anywhere between the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the Royal Street Veranda, and Cafe Orleans. Sometimes, he’ll venture around the nearby shops.
What’s something Azul might do?
Meandering by all the restaurants. Should he find someone eating alone at one of the tables, he’ll gladly keep you company. He’s a great deal interested in all these dishes. The conversation is pleasant, but he’ll quickly shift it towards a more business-like tone. Tell him your woes, for he’s always willing to aid an unfortunate soul.
How can I get Azul’s attention?
It could happen by accident. Maybe you're in a shop, browsing the selection, and absentmindedly murmuring to yourself, “I wonder if this has a discount…” If he happens to be nearby and hears you, he’s gladly presenting you a rare deal. Maybe not for the item you want to buy, but instead something else.
What might Azul say?
When asked for a photo: “Of course! You’re in luck to have met such a saint like me. How could I ever turn down such an earnest request?”
When asked for an autograph: “Normally, I’m against handing out my signature, but if you insist. There, done. Now, may I have your signature? Sign right here on this contract.”
When annoyed: “You’re quite boisterous. No one likes a chatterbox, you know. It appears you really are in dire need of assistance. Those who tend to depend on my aid are the miserable, the lonely, and the depressed… Pathetic.”
When approaching you: “Welcome, welcome! I see that Jade and Floyd have led you directly to me. And how right they were to do so! Someone of your tender disposition will not last long here! Walk with me. You won’t regret it.”
big fan of characters who look cool and tough and stoic but only because theyre internally thinking "fuckkk what do i say. how do i make friends. they didnt teach me how to do that in sword school."
