i really really really wished that gary had killed fox on his own accord and not because of something stupid like invictus possessing his arm. something like “the team squad had to leave fox behind bc he’s a threat towards the rest of the team” would’ve been much sadder and interesting. i think gary having no control over his death makes ash’s freak out feel unjustified. if Gary was instead given a choice to save fox but didn’t it would raise the stakes and cause tension in the group without it feeling unwarranted

We should have had more episodes of Season 3, that way the writing would be improved like Ash's decent into darkness or better character chemistry in general.

I see Ash as a victim of Gary and Quinn’s relationship. Examples include Ash’s only mother figure (Nightfall) dying for Gary and Quinn’s romance, Gary and Quinn extending the Team Squad’s stay in Final Space and allowing Invictus to influence Ash even more, and Quinn and Gary’s (misguided) decision to sleep together creating a domino effect that has lead to Ash’s descent into madness.
