Winter Blast is a plasmid developed and marketed by Ryan Industries that provides the user with the ability to freeze targets. Winter Blast was mainly advertised for culinary purposes, even being the focus of “The Kitchen of Tomorrow” exhibit at the Hall of the Future in Ryan Amusements. Waiters would supply customers with ice cubes for their drinks with a snap of their fingers and housewives could easily freeze leftover food for preservation.

Dr. Yi Suchong M.D. 易蘇崇: The life of Dr. Yi Suchong began as the son of a lowly house servant in rural Korea. In Rapture, Suchong set up an independent research firm, Suchong Institute and Laboratories, which partnered with the cities other great research institutions: Ryan Industries, Sinclair Solutions, and Fontaine Futuristics. Under Fontaine he took charge of the genetic research department creating and improving much of the company’s Plasmids line such as Enrage and Telekinesis. Suchong’s other important accomplishments was developing the mental conditioning of the Little Sisters, Big Daddies, and Fontaine’s secret projects, “The Ace in The Hole” and “WYK”.
