Spotted this beautiful rainbow on our way from Aurangabad to Mumbai. Nature and it’s magic. There is beauty everywhere ,you just have to look around and you would be stunned what you see around you. Planning a trip to your dream destination can be a very daunting task, especially if you plan to travel alone without your kids or family. This is not my first trip but every time the excitement of travel gives me sleepless nights. I have thus developed an efficient checklist so I don’t miss anything important. The biggest adventure of my life awaits and I’d be lying if I said I was not going to miss ‘home’. So I am checking and rechecking my check list- Kids activities, adults in charge (husband, mother in law, my parents) and a back up plan!! My friend, partner in crime KamanaPereira (@KRsNavigatio) and me wanted to have a detailed plan of action for mothers or women who have wander lust like us and would love to travel. Thus our idea culminated into “Navigatio”: - A travel portal by women exclusively for women who love to travel. In exactly three days, we will be getting on a plane to my dream destination - the beautiful Spiti Valley. Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley, hidden in the laps of the Himalaya’s, in the north-eastern part of Himachal Pradesh. The name “Spiti” means “The Middle Land”, i.e. the land between Tibet and India. It is one of the least populated land in the country and the best time to travel to Spiti Valley is from May to October. This beautiful valley is accessible only for 6 months of the year and is blocked by the thick Himalayan snow for the remaining part of the year making it inaccessible for travellers. Spiti valley is accessible throughout the year via Kinnaur from Shimla by road. It is one of the most difficult 412-kilometre-long (256 mi) route and the foreign tourists need inner line permits to enter Spiti through Kinnaur. In summer it can be reached via Manali through Rohtang pass and Kunzum pass. Manali is 201 km away from Kaza headquarter of Spiti subdivision. Another interesting fact is that Spiti’s border start at Samdo [74 km from Kaza] which is quite near to India-China border. Will keep you posted about the trip once we start. Happy travelling to us
Just 5 days to go. The most tedious thing for the trip #Spiti was packing my bag, it’s done now. The list of things that I am carrying is- Thermals, socks, gloves, sweater, raincoat, medicines(first aid kit), clothes for 7 days, cold cream, sunscreen, camera with a tripod for time lapse, toiletries, scarves,etc.. Now we are shortlisting a few songs so that we can add them to our video clips. Himalayan Lust by Sadhguru will give me company during my travel. I am so excited that 5 days seems like months. Mentally I am preparing my kids that mom won’t be around for a week so what they are supposed to do, as in studies, outdoor activities and planning on what fun they can have when I am not around. So the people who will take care of them when I am not around are my Husband, my mother in law and my parents. So each of them make sure that my kids don’t miss me even for a moment. I am grateful for having such wonderful people around me because of whom such trips become possible.

Just 6 more days and we are on our way to Spiti. The much awaited travel of the year.
Everything has been booked.
It's a seven days road trip from Chandigarh.
We are visiting Shimla on the first day.
And taking a halt at Narkanda.
All the hotels or tents stay that I have planned are depending purely on location and view.
From Narkanda the next day we stay at Sangla. I had earlier planned to stay at Kalpa. But realised it is a little commercialized so changed it to Sangla.
Again the place we are staying here has an amazing view.
From Sangla we move to Kaza #Spiti .
We have 2 days stay here where in one day is in a hotel and other day at Chandratal, a tent stay.
On day 5 we move to Kasol on our way to Manikaran.
And day 6 we leave for Chandigarh,reach there by late evening.
Day 7 back to our home town.
I will keep you updated on my trip to Spiti.
It's going to be one hell of a trip.
