Hi, we’re Rats-Tails. As I was searching tumblr looking for inspiration for my Hobonichi weeks. I saw I was logged into this account. ‘Uh oh’ I thought. ‘Another deserted social media page for our band.’ Are Rats-Tails inactive? Negative, we are very active and have been in the midst of recording our debut EP. I could take this as an opportunity to moan about the difficulties of writing music, recording, performing, keeping up with social media and other admin tasks which keeps the project afloat. Well, I do believe I’m speaking into a void but I am sorry Rats-Tails forgot about you, Tumblr.

Here’s a brief update on Rats-Tails, in 2024 we:

- Released our third single, Flowers, alongside a DIY mixed media Animated music video.

- Played our first Festival: East London Block Party

- Began recording our debut EP at SLIDE Studios, Peckham. Five tracks, 4 old 1 new. Completely DIY and self funded.

- Played our first shows outside of our home city, London. These shows were: The Louisiana, Bristol (supporting Automotion. hosted by Cellar Door). And The Purple Turtle, Reading (supporting Flip Top Head. hosted by Skeeta Sounds)

- Began writing new music with plans to come into 2025 with a new set list of songs

Anyways, I’ll probs try and keep this blog updated. If you see me liking posts on Hobonichi weeks….just know I bought that to assist me managing this project tee hee x
