Closed RP | Sweethearts and Butterbeer
❖ Anna bounced along the corridors of the train, as she did every year. If you weren’t excited to hone your magical abilities, you were lying. Not that Anna was especially studious — she only paid attention in Charms and — just Charms. There seemed to be a new magic to the air, with the promise of Hogsmeade trips!
"Of course — Honkeydukes alone is enough to get me to go. Then there’s everything else!” Anna emphasized this with a wave of her hands. She could only scoff when Elsa warned her not to buy too much. Allowance had been saved for that first (second, and third) trip to Hogsmeade.
"I think he’s — oh, there." She pointed down the corridor, the slinky tan cat walking towards them. "I think he was saying hello to the other cats." A thoughtful nod, only confirmed by the fuzzy bits of red fur attached to him. She could only scoff, scooping up the droopy cat into her arms. "Naughty." Anna turned to look at Elsa, eyes wide. "Are you excited? For the new year? And OWLs.”
Elsa was the studious one of the sisters — she was a Ravenclaw, after all. She was eager to get back to her studies, to her routine, to doing all the stuff she loved away from their nagging parents and nannies. And now her sister could finally go to Hogsmeade with her — something that was very exciting — and do all the things off-limits to first and second years.
"Honeydukes has the best stuff for keeping around, no doubt about it," The elder sister continued, "But until you've had butterbeer you haven't really gone to Hogsmeade. Everyone there is so nice. Don't forget they serve you more food than you could ever eat for only twelve sickles — twelve sickles! Can you believe it?"
Her eyes followed the cat climbing up to them. He was always messy and getting out of the way. Elsa really did like her obedient, useful, and, well, kind owl. "It'll be exciting, that's for sure. And the homework will be out the door, especially for all the Ravenclaws." She nodded. "Although the OWLs are really important. They help you find what job you'd be good at - it's a really good chance to showcase our talents."
One thing that was often kept under wraps was the fact that Elsa wasn't quite ordinary. She was a witch, yes, and the magical powers were already great and put her apart from muggles, but the girl also had always been able to manipulate ice and snow with a flick of her wrist. No wand. Her parents didn't want her to stand out, so they encouraged her to have it be a secret between her and her sister.
