No good deed goes unpunished. Planted 3 fruit trees with my parents today in the backyard, but I also had 3 spiders crawl up my legs (one even reached my arm lol)

Bitch, wdym Texas bullnettle is edible. I dug up 3 of these mother fuckers today, and I just now found out people eat the roots???? Touching these plants feels like a million fire ants bit you at the same time, why would you ever wanna eat them???

Rant under cut

I hate these plants with a burning passion, so of course I chopped up the roots with my shovel the second I finally managed to dig em out completely (we don't use weed killer since it could harm our geese and ducks). According to the Internet, the roots have a nutty flavor.

Fun (?) fact,Texas bullnettle has a taproot system, so the holes I had to dig were pretty deep (around 3-4 feet).

Another fun fact, my grandmother calls these plants "mala feas" (mean uglies), so that's what the whole family calls them. My brother and I never knew what the plant's real name was until I was in 5th grade. I went on a school field trip that year, and before we went on a hike, the camp counselor warned us about the "Texas bullnettle" that could be found in the area. Low and behold, we did end up seeing some and I finally knew my enemy's true name (it was the first thing I told my brother about when I got back home).

Ngl, it actually is a pretty cool looking plant. It's just caused too much pain for me to not hate it.

It's a "kill on sight" kind of hate, so ain't no way you could convince me to eat it.

My little sister asked for help with her math homework today.

Every time she made a mistake she hit me with this, "You didn't see that, it was AI." Which is new, I'm not complaining, just thought it was neat.

I finally have time to read, but my sister has once again brought an illness back home from school as a gift to me :)))

My little sister just called me a "stupid sandwich" and I , without hesitation, immediately reminded her that it's "idiot sandwich."

She then proceeded to fake slap me again, but at least she called me an idiot sandwich that time.

Wukoweek day 2: jealousy/rivals

I feel like these two wouldn’t really get jealous once they’re in a relationship, so I went with something silly. The idea of Mako having beef with a badgermole plushie came to me a couple of weeks ago around midnight, and I’m so glad it did.

Winter is officially over. My cat refuses to cuddle with me and has reclaimed the window stool as his napping spot :(
